anime music was a thing and even cosplays. kpop is based on jpop and western pop the only difference kpop pour money in their music video, choreography(hiring western and japanese dance studio), fashion, live stages which we dont see in american counterpart

Actually the first time the term k pop was used is by a Japanese TV station. They call it K pop song when they first let them perform on their TV show. Also, other than Korean producers being influenced by J pop and got knowhow from Japan, a Korean agent asked a famous dance school called Actors School in Japan to let them practice. When it came time to enter the US market, they asked Sony music to help them get into the market.

tbh their views aren't bad. 8.2 mil views in 7 days is not bad. I don't know if anyone on the XG team read the comments here. But I want to thank the whole team. This is a complete group and I can't imagine how much effort is being put into them to be what they are. These girls are bringing me so much joy, their music is so good. I hope from the bottom of my heart that this group becomes big around the world and, one day, I hope see them live in a concert. To all the people throwing hate on this group for meaningless things... Life goes by so fast, I'm an "old school" kpop/apop fan and when you realize time goes by so fast. Just be happy to be here for this moment and appreciate all the talent/masterpiece this group is bringing to us. Have fun following this group and watching their growth, cheer for them. Shooting Star & Left Right have been on REPEAT ever since it came out. It be living in my head rent free 24/7, Im not even kidding. XG's performance at KCON was absolutely amazing. Both SHOOTING STAR and LEFT RIGHT were very good. XG wowed the audience with their sharp dance moves and effective directions. I want to see XG headlining FES in the future. XG has a lot of potential for that.

@@egoskz ads don't count views less than 30 seconds, if people stay to listen that's a good sign of audience/listener acceptance. People may found out about them through ads, but isn't promoting with digital ads is just as similar to promoting in any other way? music shows, radio and talkshow, billboard, ect this is all advertising. You can't expect them to not do any promotion, their label don't have brand recognition like the Big 3 and HYBE have yet, they are their label first group.
