@@Xhenix No clue, except I was watching it on repeat with a few other videos the moment it got taken down, which was really weird. I asked him on youtube and twitter, and he didn't respond. If I had to guess, it would be because of the references to Sjin and Caff, in light of recent posts by Gee and Bouphe saying they had tried their bullshit on them too. My issue is that nothing in these clips is sympathetic to Sjin, Caff, or Turps - it's ridicule. And as an American, if we can make a bunch of 9/11 jokes, we can laugh at the expense of those sons of bitches too.

yeah thats what cancel culture does to people, everything becomes so tabu you can't even talk about it, like we are in some sort of fucking soviet union 2.0 again. They are totally ok (and i am too dont get me wrong) with joking about hitler and 9\11 but when it comes to their own '9\11' (i.e. sjin) they are so upset about it, like, the level of hypocrisy is over9000.

I think it's more that they've probably been told not to talk about Sjin, and the controversy surrounding Sjin is very close to home for members of the yogs, while 9/11 was 20 years ago, and the shit Hitler did was like 80 years ago, and are things that are joked about on a regular basis

@@lladerat It’s more like the guilt about Sjin is very close to home. People they actively care about and talk to daily were affected by Sjin (Bouphe and Gee), and making jokes about that would probably feel very disrespectful to them.

It’s totally understandable that the mention of someone you considered to be a close friend, who then turned out to be a manipulative creep who preyed on other close friends, would make you feel awkward. It has nothing to do with how bad one event is compared to another, it’s simply a fact that this is far closer to home than either of the other two. If you’ve read other yogs’ comments on the matter you’d understand why they react they way they do, we can never understand how it impacted the each of them when we’re just fans. I wouldn’t say it’s hypocrisy since that assumes that the reason they don’t want to talk about it is because the event was bad, it’s more likely that they simply want to keep a former employee out of their content so they don’t have ties with predators. There are plenty of articles and videos out there about what other people could be hiding in the yogscast, it makes sense for them to want to distance themselves from him.
