Cab view of the Shonan-Shinjuku Line. From Yokohama Station to Shinjuku Station.
JR's Shonan-Shinjuku Line began operation in December 2001, and is not the line of that name, but the name given to the driving route.
Up until then, the Tokaido Main Line had been used for commuting from the Shonan region, such as Hiratsuka City and Fujisawa City, to Tokyo, but the Shonan-Shinjuku Line was constructed using parallel freight lines.
Passenger trains were run on freight tracks that are now underused, and instead of Tokyo Station, the terminal station on the Tokaido Main Line, they ran towards Shinjuku Station, which has a lot of passengers, and then north from here to Tochigi Prefecture.
Trains run to Utsunomiya City, the prefectural capital, and Takasaki City, the prefectural capital of Gunma Prefecture. (Of course, there are also trains that run in the opposite direction.) The driving route, which runs towards Shinjuku Station instead of the conventional terminal of Tokyo Station, and also passes through Tokyo and connects Utsunomiya City, Takasaki City, and Hiratsuka City, is innovative, and at first JR itself Perhaps they could not have predicted this, and the number of trains operated was small, but today it has become a major route comparable to the Tokaido Main Line.
In this video, we will run the Shonan-Shinjuku Line from Yokohama to Shinjuku. From Yokohama Station to Osaki Station, it runs on a track that was converted from a freight line, and trains on the Yokosuka Line also run on the same track, but perhaps because it was originally a line exclusively for freight, it still runs along a back street. You can feel the atmosphere. From Osaki Station, it runs parallel to the Yamanote Line, which circulates through central Tokyo. Trains running on the Yamanote Line also appear from time to time.
The Shonan-Shinjuku Line continues further north, but in this video it ends at Shinjuku Station. The Shonan-Shinjuku Line turns to the left after passing Tsurumi Station (a station where the Keihin Tohoku Line stops), which is passed at 4 minutes and 40 seconds in the video, and separates from the Tokaido Main Line and the Keihin Tohoku Line, and goes to the north side. Run the route. The freight station that appears on the left after 8 minutes and 30 seconds was once one of the largest freight terminals in the Tokyo metropolitan area, but due to changes in operating methods, it has become completely lonely.

@@14ikesan12 interesting challenge. In Photoshop it would be easy but for video, colour correction in the editor, I don't know. What do you need to be done? Which direction does it need to be corrected, blue - red, red - blue or something different? I'll ask my son Callum as he is quite the technical guy with lenses etc. I'm thinking a corrective filter for your camera might work.
@14ikesan12
@14ikesan12 5 ай бұрын
@@andrewclarkehomeimprovement Thank you for your request. I'm happy. As you said, it's easy if it's a still image. Y←→B M←→G C←→R . If the image is blue and green, it can be corrected by adding yellow and cyan. However, in the case of videos, the color balance changes depending on the angle of light. It would be possible to solve this problem by changing the correction value each time the direction of the train changes, but this is not realistic. It takes a huge amount of time to work. Eventually, the app or hardware should automatically correct it. Equipped with AI. Anyway, for now I will improve it little by little. Also, please give me advice and consultation. I have a friend in the UK. That's great KZfaq.

@14ikesan12
@14ikesan12 5 ай бұрын
Thanks for your comment. JR calls the double decker, which is connected to passing trains, the "Green Car." This is essentially first class, and the name was changed in the late 1960s when the system was revised and the fares for the previous first class were changed. The Imperial Court platform near Harajuku Station is currently hardly used. There are weeds growing there. The previous Emperor was a person who hated being given special treatment, and when he traveled by train, he refused to ride on the imperial train, and the platform was no longer used. I think this is something that we common people should welcome, but some people say that it has actually made security even more difficult.

What? As a train enthusiast I absolutely loved the efficiency with which that system was built. There's something beautiful about how they use such little space to create such a cobweb of lines and stations and there's a lot of stuff that sets this apart from generic high density metropolitan lines - the airport trains, the freight yard, the imperial platform, the high speed line going overhead/along the side... I can think of many, many more depressing cab views. There's no graffiti, no garbage on the tracks, no wastefulness of resources.
