Xiaomi 12x camera and video quality is good but the only problem on Xiaomi is they didn't fix the sttuter/jitter when panning on video

I am extremely impressed by the low light video of the 12X. Video in daylight are both really good; the only issue with the S21 FE is that video looks somewhat over-sharpened.

I agree, I noticed same thing in S22 reviews, Samsung is using some kind of postprocesing, and images look sometimes unnatural or HDR like, some people likes it. Im prefering natural looking images, you can always postprocessed them later ;)

there is no word of android updates on xiaomi.. where s21 promised for 3 major android updates and 5 security patches. if difference of price point is huge then its xiaomi.. if not, then s21 fe.. also camera quality of s21 fe is consistent here

They made a promise for 4 years. The S21 FE comes with Android 12 so it will get updates for Android 16 which is impressive

Thanks. Great comparison! I wonder how much battery was consumed by both smartphones during this comparison. For me it is critical - a good battery and a very good camera.

Battery consumption of the S21 FE is crap unfortunately (snapdragon 888 version). I get ~5h SOT in power saver mode.

@@ROBiNATORRR damn that sucks ass, i get around 1.5 days of usage and 6.5-9 hours SOT depending on my usage with the 12x (no power saving)

@@ROBiNATORRR battery is the one reason i am never going back to samsung. with the 12x i have, i just plug it in for 20m in the morning and im at 80-90% which EASILY lasts me like 35 hours total with 120hz and all the settings maxed out ahha

Nice video. I think xiaomi has done a good job, but Samsung still has better camera in almost every circumstance. Anyway, I personally prefer xiaomi's sizes. The camera it's decent, even the battery life I guess. Let's see the price. If is under €400, I'll go for that. I would like to know how is the vibrations, and microphones quality, specially the proximity sensor.....is it good? Or it's similar to the old devices?

Thanks, interesting comparison. The Xiaomi 12x is too expensive in China relative to phones with similar specifications and also too close in price to the Xiaomi 12. It would be decent if the price dropped by at least 500 rmb but otherwise it's quite a bit overpriced. I doubt that they will release it in global markets. Probably just the 12 and 12 pro.

I hope they release to global markets. I love the SD 870 much more (in terms of efficiency) than 888 and Gen 1 (made by Samsung)

@@chalcodelvolga8800 Yeah, I'm using a snapdragon 870 phone myself. Definitely a good chip. At least it doesn't overheat that much. The 12x is selling in China though for 3,199rmb for the base variant versus 2,399rmb for the Xiaomi 10s and 2,499rmb for the Realme gt Master Explorer edition(which has the same chip, same main camera sensor and a 16mp ultrawide). A nice looking phone but really needs more competitive pricing. The sales are really poor in China, probably due to the high price. If European prices add the usual 30-50%, then it wouldn't be too competitive

Good real world review that geeky stuff 👍 Stabilisation looks better on the 12x and it handles the light better, 4ks good, selfie cameras good Colours look better on s21fe and the front cameras better, 4k x3 zooms good, selfie videos good colour wise Both good phones...hobsons choice, horses for courses? Get the best features of them both and put them together...Next level s22 ultra? 12 Pro? Are the Samsungs worth the extra money? 🤔

I have to say I'm pretty impressed with Xiaomi 12x. I was testing s21 Fe myself recently and I have to admit that selfie is pretty decent but sadly this phone is a little bit too expensive ☺️ Great video

Received my S21 FE, why can't it record 1080/60fps with ultrawide and telephoto lenses? The original S21 can with all 3 lenses.

I find that overall the Fe is better. But it's paradoxical to realize that the 4k60 video on the Fe is better stabilized than the 4k30 and even the HD30 🤔.

if i unlock bootloader and install global rom in the mi 12x will i get that annoying message/screen telling about the bootloader everytime i restart the phone? What about OTA updates?

Considering the price and the 12x lacking IP certification, USB-C 3.2 and the flagship CPU, I think Xiaomi needs to reduce the price. Also it seems like the 12 Pro already got a selfie-cam update, while the 12x still performs very poorly.

870 is better than 8gen1 in term of power efficiency and heat if you don't play games on max settings or render videos you won't notice any difference

s21 fe is more consistent and has dex but for some strange reason price gone up a lot ,once 12X goes down to around €400 will be as popular as 10T pro was

Had the note 10 plus. Never used Dex. Just easier to use a normal laptop.

@@dmanjra only used on tv watching ,streaming etc. surprisingly fast on s20 fe and usable since update. Have a mi 10 ultra now ,xiaomis are slightly better quality have 10t pro and mi 10 too ,both still zero battery wear last over a day while Samsung down to 60% same time use

Xiaomi is very bad at software, i have a lot of xiaomi phones, they are ok for the price, but have lot of bugs... the only reason i like xiaomi is because they have infrared IR. this is the only good thing about that. on the other hand, samsung software has less bugs, much much better camera (xiaomi is also bad here), buthave a lot of blotware..... like xiaomi...... Overall... i think Samsung is better.

Thank you for the video! Can you check Xiaomi 12X camera fogging? I will not leave a link to a video from another channel in this comment so that my comment is not deleted, but I will say the name of the channel, and you can go and watch its video. The channel is called "Mobiltelefon", its newest video is about the entire line of Xiaomi 12 smartphones and in the cold everyone's cameras fog up, the moment of the video about fogging from 3:23 to 6:57. At 5:31 he gets out of the car, the phones are off, but the cameras are still fogging up. You can probably check it by putting your smartphone in the freezer 😂

3:52 forwards. Video comparison 1080p 60fps. The S21FE is really bad in terms of stabilization! It was however similar to the 12x at 4K and also later on with wide angle. Could it be that stabilization was off when filming 1080p 60k?

Excellent comparison! Both very good but I think that Samsung is not worth the extra money (unless the european version of Xiaomi is overpriced! 😄). The only clear advantages I see in the Samsung are in the selfie camera and zoom, and some advantage in very low light. But in outdoor shots and also in bright indoor ones in general I prefer the 12X (better and more natural colors, more captivating without being too saturated). If they cost more or less the same I would be uncertain, but with the price difference I would say that Xiaomi is more interesting.

Miałam oby dwa modele i powiem że Samsungowi S21 FE nie dorówna Xiaomi 12x. Po pierwsze Xiaomi nie jest wodoodporny, brak ładowania indukcyjnego, wolniej działający czytnik linii papilarnych oraz gorzej działający czujnik zbliżeniowy. Ten ostatni w Samsungu działa rewelacyjnie natomiast w xiaomi uchem włączysz wszystko co się da. Ja stawiam na Samsunga

S21 FE Win, why ? Because sharp, colour full image and real 12x Whitish look at the sea in S21FE real blue colour, in 12x the sea is more white.

Well I do like the Xiaomi12x. Unfortunately I wouldn't purchase it,. Reason being not sure of what guaranties for software and updates would you get 2 or 3 years. At least with Samsung galaxy they do guaranty software firmware and android update for at least 2yrs or more.

12x tbh, I got an 11T Pro, went back to my Poco F2 pro just because of the overheating issues caused by the SD 888 and the battery life
