I bought my Xiaomi 12x for 500usd while the Samsung S22 was at 870usd

OneUI is actually more laggy when it comes to displaying inbuilt animations. My s21 always somehow found a way to frame drop/stutter on an easy animation

MIUI isn't anywhere near as bad as people make it out to be I am using Mi 9T for almost 3 years now, only time I ever experienced serious lag outside of heavy games was sometimes when I quickly switch between two spaces (Second space option that MIUI has, I think other brands have something similar but I don't know how they call it), but literally other then that, smooth as butter. And keep in mind this is a 2019 midranger

@@russotusso1695 this i have an a poco f3 and a mi note 10 lite and i was surprised how smooth both phones are while running MIUI yes it has it's bugs here and there like any other UI. But reviewers make it seem like it's the worst thing out there and to be frank they are wrong like painfully wrong. Many of those reviewers don't know the upgrade policy or at least don't put in the research for the update policies of Xiaomi phones and it shows. Most of their phones these days come with three years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates. It has its own theme store which is very useful among other very good features which most reviewers fail/deliberately don't mention. Just because it's a Xiaomi phone. With that said no phone is perfect all has it's flaws but I swear most reviewers have an agenda against Xiaomi products speaking about ads which is not as cumbersome as some may want to make you believe and the bloatware which takes less than 3 minutes to uninstall like really 🤨

@@muzsyam3621 I agreed, Many will say about bugs and I agree: Miui went through several bugs (and on certain devices it still has problems), but Miui 13 is already much better and more stable and fluid, I use it on my F3 and I think about getting the Xiaomi 12x

For this type of test that i did those are the results I got. I can do it over and over and it will be the same.

it's probably the exynos as American reviewers never had an issue with performance. But I don't get it, the S21 worked very well with the exynos

@@ahmadfarhan6476 Yes, not everyone is suffering but on Twitter it is trending and seems more omnipresent than even I thought. As I said, dialled down the resolution to 720p and turned off gestures, and now works smooth as I expected. So I will use it like that in the hope Samsung fixes soon. Battery life still remains sub-par but better on 720p. I use a MagSafe case and wireless charging pack that doubles the SoT so that sorted. Just a shame I have to tweak what should be an ultra experience!

@@RedskullPro And not only that, they also start removing charger from their phones claiming that environment will benefit from it, too much sugar coating happening nowadays. If they really want to run green business, why not just provide a longer software update for their phones so that people can keep their devices for a long period of time, but you know, it’s all about making money. I still remember how Samsung mocked apple for not shipping the iPhone 12 with charger and then after some time, they followed the same thing. I just hope tha they’ll leave the midrange and entry phones from this crazy marketing strategy.

I mean...it was as fair as possible... I don't do these tests in a lab :) Fan fact, on the the 12x I used Chrome more than I did on the S22...that doesn't really show from the percentages displayed

@@RedskullPro I'm only saying what I see in the video. Anyway, 43.67% is the %age of the total battery consumption, not of the total usage time. It doesn't necessarily mean you used Chrome more on S22. It could very well mean you performed much more demanding tasks on 12x than S22, which seems to be the case here since you're saying you used Chrome more on 12x.

Yes, for that particular test I can get over 8h every time. Regular usage over 4G about 5.5-6h SOT

Samsung has always been the king of media playback. They must use a codec or some AI. If you watch YT 100% then this battery test is easy to believe. It is when you use it for other tasks that the S22 will not look so good. For example, gaming, camera, standby, Twitter and similar feeds (due to no real dynamic refresh (48Hz min)). I would say using in a mixed workflow based on the videos I have seen, 3.5-5.5 hrs for the S22. Xiaomi is def not known for their battery life so expect sub-par as well.

@@lyhthegreat actually I not interested in 12x because this phone still running android 11 even launched in March 2022 & probably will get updated up to android 13 only, but if I want this phone here in my country I can easily get this phone since we have online store with local seller that sells this phone, so there's no problem to get this phone

@@pudinichigo91 yeah s22 sounds like a pretty good deal but my main issue with it is the sd 8 gen 1 chip that it's using, it overheats and throttles alot and the battery life isn't that good as well...btw are the local sellers selling the global set or the china sets in your country? i assume that you're living in malaysia right?

@@lyhthegreat wow, how did you know that I from Malaysia ?😁, Yes we can get both global & also china set here in Malaysia, so no problem at all, I saw GSMArena review and battery endurance test for for S22 and look like S22 have better battery life compared to previous model S20 which is I also use before and I don't have any problem with battery life on S20, it pretty good for me and I also don't really do gaming on my phone anymore so I think S22 is good choice for me & I prefer flat screen over curve screen.
