Picking between 2 phones has always been pretty hard even more so when you love photography, and also with that comes that many phones have different approaches to photography!
So how do the Xiaomi 13 Pro and Vivo X90 Pro stack up?
Well... honestly a lot comes down to preference, with it being hard to pick a clear winner.

For me the Leica colour is the winner. But it is all about preference. I also really like the longer portraits lens on the Xiaomi, so much so that I am seriously thinking about jumping from Apple after many years. Keep going with these great videos, your personal expression is engaging, the lighting and sound are outstanding. Another thing I highly appreciate is the large number of images that you have included. Some KZfaqrs will make a 15 min video about a camera or a lens and not include even one sample image 😂

@@PeterbFree thank you man!!!!! And yeah i really want to showcase the Camera with many shots so people see different situations and just know what it is capable of! And portrait soooo true!! Recently I had someone visit me and we took a lot of shots, she was very impressed that it came from a phone, even with it's small imperfections. And I will keep trying to deliver these videos, just need a constant feed from companies to do so 😂

The truth is that, according to your photos of each, I also prefer the Xiaomi. I am in love with the X80 Pro. I was impressed by Vivo because I never had a Vivo phone and it became my favorite for photography. I think with the X90 Pro or Plus they haven't done so well. I really like the colors offered by the Xiaomi. I love the way you make the videos. Thank you fron Spain

Yeah they just have a very different approach, and I like that because it allows people to choose whatever they prefer, which is nice! And no problem! Glad you enjoyed it!!!

I agree on your statement. Different phone companies offering different style of camera image quality, it depends on the user preference or liking. Average user didn't understand that thing or appreciated, but they are similar like in earphones, they are the same but the sound signature is different per brand, might be bright or to bassy. But if i didn't like the image quality, I'll use Photoshop instead to tune the image, depends in the style that I like. Nice review on both great beast phones!

Very well said!!! And that makes it so hard to directly compare, and I want to give people the oppertunity to judge for themselves instead of being told what is best! But what IS important is to show you can play around with it, that they both offer such amazing possibility that sadly many don't!

For taking selfie shots you may use the back as a mirror as it reflects ur face very clearly and nicely just like a mirror i have been taking selfies like that since I've got it.

Can you record slow mo using the tele photo camera nativetly? I currently have the mi 11 ultra and its amazing, but that 3.2x tele from xiaomi is incredible,

Well done. reviews dealing with certain topics surely cannot be objective, especially when it comes to photography. both have their own characteristics and are therefore subjective matters. Brighter Vivo photos are not for me. Maybe , if you can , it would be nice to try some special filter for both phones . However, I am happy that smartphone manufacturers today have decided to make a change in the photographic field. We await what vivo will have to offer with x6 pro And congratulations on the review

Hi Jermaine! in this video the pictures of buildings/landscape , I like the Vivo much more even a lil tiny bright for my taste but the details on highlights are more preserved way more than xiaomi and vivo HDR seems superior, , on Xiaomi mostly it has clipped the highlights thus loses details. i prefer details/texture and not oversharpend or over exposed with clipped highlights and shadows that even after using editor details cannot be recovered. unless RAW but a lil unconvenient to edit through another app. coming from s22ultra that i dont like is the over exposed and clipped highlights my phone produces plus the oversharpened quality i always use the pro or expert mode. i have to use lightroom to get better picture . 😢

Nice reviews. Ordered Xiaomi 13 Pro (traded with my Oneplus 7T Pro). Its expensive than Oneplus 11 but has better Camera, IP68, IR, durability and support. X90 pro has lower screen resolution. And S23U is just so overpriced.

Honestly hard to say for me because i don't have the non pro, so i couldn't give you a proper response to it, @techtablets has both though (also great takes from him)

Photos of the Vivo are a bit brighter but they have more details. Overal I would pick the Xiaomi partly because I am not a fan of that Vivo camera bump and just the whole phone design

it isn't an easy answer, while I have to say that Xiaomi does bad with warm tones it is great at keeping that night feeling, where Vivo can be too bright and saturated (though you can cool it down) So it depends a bit what you are looking for, and I have made a video comparing both, but I will say that I could have explained myself better in it, because I was fixated on the warm tones just not being there. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/bJakrM5mtd_boqc.html

it's a shame that they only release the pro version of the Xiaomi 13 in black and white. I really like the green color. Do you know how I can get the green version anyway?

Yeah a shame:( i think the green can be done via chinese retailers probably, but then it isn't the global version.

@@ThroughJermainesLens There is a big improvement for camera on mi 11 ultra in miui 14, now it has fantastic night mode with so much better white balance, details and better highlight controlling! Smoother focus changing on videos and lesser noise on zoom shots... I was surprised!

I had the opportunity to compare both smartphones and this helped me make a choice in favor of Vivo X90 Pro and I have been using it for two weeks, I am very happy with my choice.
