Still horrible oversharpen with log mode. I really don't know why developers think it looks good. Log is useless unless they disable digital sharpen algorithm or at least reduce it like Apple did 😅

I also have a video like this. Just taken with the 13 Ultra. Did not release it yet as so many other videos had priority. But the cool thing is that the video editor on the device can apply LUTs and comes with preintalled ones that are quite good.

Spot on... LOG is powerful, not many people are interested and this type of videos are not getting views, but I like it and I want to show it. Mi 10/11 U still top phones!

What is the base ISO in shooting LOG? There should be an ISO value that captures the most dynamic range with least noise. For example, SLOG-3 on the A7SIII needs to be shot on 640 or 12800 for best results.

where is the whitepaper with the transfer function and color gamut...its useless in pro color managed workflows if they don't publish that. also, log should not have any effect on file size, the codec you use should define stuff like bitrate and compression. Just think about it, you are recording a value for each pixel, why would it take more space to store a 0.33376 than a 0.5658? If you are storing 10 bit values, each pixel will take 10 bits per channel... The file size will be defined by the codec more than anything else, I think, because that will determine if you have inter or intra frame compression, etc. What codecs can the camera output?
