How does the Xiaomi 14 (4610mAh) & Xiaomi 14 Ultra (5000mAh) stack up against the Samsung S24 Ultra (5000mAh), HONOR Magic 6 Pro (5600mAh), OnePlus 12 (5400mAh), Vivo X100 Pro (5400mAh), and iPhone 15 Pro Max (4441mAh) in this ULTIMATE Real Life Usage 100%-0% Battery Drain Test?!?
All Phones are Set to the Exact SAME Brightness Level (Using a LUX Meter). If a phones display looks brighter or dimmer than another, it's due to my studio lighting OR because it dimmed due to overheating.
I run through 15 APPS which include System Apps, Media Apps, Social Media Apps, Camera Apps, Benchmark Apps (to simulate High Performance Gaming), and Games. Intervals are clocked at every 30 minutes and at each interval I show the percentage of each phone as well as their temperature in degrees celsius using an Infrared Heat Gun!

Hey Guys, thanks for all the support! 🙏 I hope you all enjoy the video as it took ages to put together 🔥I also wanted to quickly mention a few things: 1. This is my first drain test in 4K, enjoy! 👏 2. In the past, many of you have said this and that about screen resolutions and said that because one phone is pushing more pixels than another it affects the battery life. Well, I have been doing battery drain tests for years now and have noticed the difference is extremely minimal (if any at all) and depending on the phone, sometimes I've seen greater battery life from a phone running at it's native QHD resolution instead of having it dropped down to FHD res. Just some food for thought 😅 3. All phones are sitting at 100% battery health 🙌 4. I always keep all the brightness levels, apps and app running times EXACTLY the same so that you can compare these results to other SOT results within Battery Tests on MY channel 😃 5. ALL phones are global variants running on GLOBAL ROM 👀 6. X (Twitter) Link to wallpaper: x.com/technickbrazer/status/1787841736670118383?s=46&t=njSAbxlis0HTWCsnHSuKwg

2.) I think that's because there's a difference between pushing internal resolution and OLEDs having to light up individual pixels. Since there are more pixels to light, more battery is needed. That's what I think at least.

Currently I'm getting around 2 days and 6 hours use from my Magic 6 Pro with moderate use. Amazing really. It lasts more than a day with heavy heavy use. The one strange thing I've noted is that here in South Africa the networks are draining phone batteries quite quickly. On WiFi it'll go on forever but on the network it uses battery even at idle and that's even on iphones, Samsungs, Huawei's etc. I wonder why.

Finally someone who gets it! Cheers 🍻 that said I do show the temp after each app that was run and the devices peak when using full cpu load when running benchmarks and using the camera app so that’s when they got very hot. When running basic apps throughout the test, most of them were idling at around 30-40 degrees which is acceptable.

If a phone is reaching 70 degrees Celsius it’s very likely reaching 55+ degrees on tasks like gaming, camera and GPS. Anything over 50 degrees is quite literally destroying your battery, so if your phone constantly hits 50+ degrees on a daily basis, this battery is going to be cooked.

HONOR MAGIC 6 Pro's battery performance is extraordinary, this battery uses the latest 2nd Generation Silicon Carbon Anode battery technology. - Silicon anode offers 10 times the power density of graphite, but volume increases by up to 300% - Honor Magic 6 Pro also uses an additional chip called Power Enhanced Chip Honor E1, a HONOR Power Management System chip that significantly improves the battery experience - The second generation silicon-carbon battery also offers improvements in charging. To ensure optimal performance - Honor says Laser Guidance Microtunneling technology makes a big difference when used on silicon-based anodes. This increases the contact area between the electrolyte and the silicon-based anode, unlocking usable capacity in the low voltage range. Additionally, it helps increase battery capacity.
@superiortoall22

That was actually not very good, look at the mAh/min and it’s far worse than the iPhone. To only last 30 minutes longer than a 4400mAh battery, looks like Honor skimped on the chipset optimization and just threw in a larger battery.
@SDav21
@SDav21 21 күн бұрын
@@superiortoall22The battery isn't physically larger but because of the new battery tech it is more dense so they can fit larger mah in the same size. Apples software is so basic and simple and hasn't changes in years. Apple makes their own chip with their software so it's a given it'll be more efficient.
@superiortoall22
@superiortoall22 21 күн бұрын
@@SDav21 regardless of size or density, mah is the capacity to provide electrical flow, so no matter which way you explain, it’s still a larger capacity battery. Remember physical hardware is still easier produce than anything software. And as an engineer that works with both Android and iOS, iOS is not 1200 mAh difference simpler. It’s just poor optimization on Honors part man, no excuses.
@SDav21
@SDav21 21 күн бұрын
@@superiortoall22 I get that. But it's mah per minute was still very good and it lasted quite a bit longer than the S24 Ultra which would be it's main Android competitor. No Android phone is as efficient as iPhone because most Android phone makers don't make their own chips and android is universal as it needs to work on multiple devices with a staggering array of configurations all with their own layers of unique software. And actually, the Honor had the best mah per minute of all the android phones here. It isn't poor optimisation. Just different optimisation. The Honor will easily outlast any Android phone on the market. Also, if you look at the last part with the numbers, he shows how long each phone would last if it had 5600mah and the Honor is still 1st among the android phones. So it has the best Android optimisation and clearly better than what you're trying to make it out to be.

@@superiortoall22 And also, if you look at the last part of the video with all the numbers, he shows how long each phone would last if they all had 5600mah batteries and the Honor would still be the best Android phone. So clearly it isn't poor optimisation as you're trying to make it out to be. It clearly has the best optimisation of all the android phones and it's dedicated power management chip is clearly working well to negate the drawbacks of Android being universal as well as the chipset being universal and all not specifically designed in-house for that particular product alone.

All of them have been set to their longest time before falling asleep. The iPhone is set to never. I just showed the iPhone Lock Screen to indicate the battery % since you can’t see it in the settings app like the androids

Is the ram amount any indicator of the phone's battery life? Seems the more they have,, the worse the battery gets.

Wish I saw this video before picking up the Xiaomi 14. A lot of the review sites I saw gave it a similar battery rating to the 5000mah phones, so I was hoping to get a battery champ in a small package, but I'm underwhelmed with the battery so far. I guess other reviewers run a lighter, fixed load instead of a mixed load like you do here. Edit: 2 weeks in, and the battery optimization kicked in hard. The battery on the Xiaomi 14 is pretty decent now, but still definitely not on the level of 5000 mah phones. It's a pretty reliable 1-day battery phone, but it rarely lasts a second day for me. The first 2 weeks were rough though, often requiring 2-3 top ups per day.

Well over 7h SOT is still very good, especially for a compact device. But we all do different things on our phones, so I try to give the most balance with my tests. Other than battery life, how are you finding that little pocket rocket? 🚀

@@victorochidi5558 It's my third day. I read somewhere that HyperOS will optimize itself after 2 weeks after learning my usage patterns, so I'm observing the battery life until then.

@@TechNick I like it! My main phone is the S24U, so the difference in battery endurance is just a little jarring. I like how light the Xiaomi 14 is, and I prefer the look of the Leica authentic snaps more than the regular photos of the S24U. The only thing holding me back from putting my main sim in it is the battery life, but here's hoping it'll optimize itself as I use it.

@@victorochidi5558 I replied earlier, but I think it might have been deleted? I'm on my third day now. I read somewhere that HyperOS optimizes the battery based off your usage patterns, and to give it 2 weeks to normalize. I really hope it does.

50°c can burn the hands All of them reaching 60°c out of this World 68°c really 😂🤣 that will burn Also 8 gen 4 isn't coming with efficiency cores So 8 gen 4 can reach 80°c now? Snapdragon 870 or 7+ gen 2 8+ gen 1 8 gen 2 are still the best processors who will perform the same in every Android game at highest settings We really doesn't need 8 gen 4 in Android phones But whatever
@TechNick

Yeah I hear you, but 50 degrees is still decent under heavy load. All these high temps are when they are under serious load like I mentioned. Fun fact, the vivo is running the Dimensity 9300 and it has no efficiency cores...
@Smzxe
@Smzxe 21 күн бұрын
@@TechNick 8 gen 4 is going be clocked at 4 GHz we don't actually need this much power on a phone temprature based on different loads In daily usage they won't cross 45°c But they are crossing 60 in heavy loads which is not good But efficiency of these new chips is good 3 year old Snapdragon 870 can also handle any game on Play Store It's probably more efficient than them We don't actually need the 8 gen 3 power
