Here is the next part of Xiaomi Mijia 1C Robot Vacuum Cleaner repair. The video includes replacing the original resettable fuse (marked 3324) with a different type. The reason for the replacement is that after a few years of using the vacuum cleaner, the original fuse began to increase its resistance, which caused a greater voltage drop on it at higher current consumption, which was probably the reason for the sudden shutdown of the vacuum cleaner in "Strong" or "Turbo" suction power mode.
Type of new resettable fuse:
RG500-16
PTC polymer; 5A; 5.1mm; Ø0.81x7.6mm

Yes, the original fuse was badly removed from the board. I'm glad the video helped you. ;)

Hi, either you can buy the same type of fuse as the original 3324 (for example on Aliexpress) or any other 3.3A 24V reversible fuse.

I don't know for sure if the varistor would work properly if overloaded. In my case, I preferred to use a fuse reacting by increasing the resistance to the temperature rise caused by the high current flow.

Hello, could you help me? My MIJIA 1C vacuum cleaner indicates "internal error" I have already opened it many times but I cannot find the fault, I tested all the motors and they work correctly, I cleaned all the contacts but the error continues, this error does not allow operation even for a moment, thank you

Hi, according to datashit the JK 60 250 has a max resistance of 0.11R which should be ok. Was charging working properly before the fuse was replaced? How old is the battery? You can do a test - bridge the fuse with a wire, test the functionality of the vacuum cleaner/charging and thus rule out a possible problem with the new fuse.

Unfortunately, I don't know that. If it is a different model, it is possible that it will also have a different control board and the problem may therefore be in something else.

I have seen some people use a varistor on the original fuse. Could you please tell me why replacing the fuse would be better? I cant decide on which one to use.

Isnt the original 3.3A? If so replacing it by a 5A variant like you did could mean it could use to much current that could result in hazardous situations and maybe even fires

Unfortunately, I don't have experience with this type of vacuum cleaner, but if the problem repeats itself at the same time, I don't think it's a hardware problem. I would try a factory reset, or find out if there is a connection with the cleaning activity (does the problem appear at the same time when cleaning in another apartment?).

@@tomasendlicher3587 I'll try test if repeat problem in the same minute. And no i didn't prove in other flat . But it's really annoying and rare . Because if battery have issue after 2 years and 4 months of use. (3 times per week) Don't work 47 minutes. This vacumm just only stop . It doesn't return to dock and didn't announced anything. One technician sayd to me that issue came from "memory charge module caused of water" . ) Thing that I really don't believe. And say that this red mi vacuums don't have a good water resistant. And suck watter when a mop mode use.
@tomasendlicher3587

I also don't think it's water related. As for battery life, of course it depends on the frequency of use of the vacuum cleaner, but in any case, the current draw from the battery is quite large for a vacuum cleaner, so a drop in battery life after 2 years is not unusual. In any case, it is unusual for the vacuum cleaner to fail to evaluate the drop in time and return to the charger. This indicates a similar fuse problem to my model. Does the vacuum cleaner have multiple performance modes (Standard, Strong, Turbo)? If so, does it turn off after the same amount of time for each one?
@dantelickc
@dantelickc 7 ай бұрын
@@tomasendlicher3587 @tomasendlicher3587 Yeah . That's exact problem: the vacumm doesn't evaluate the return time. A test the time of colapse and isn't always the same. It's random. Last was in minute 33. Vacuum also have those 3 speeds that you said and it cut off not always in same speed it's randomly. If I change the battery; do you think vacuum will return to the base. ? Or it's so probably the cause of problem it's the chip you change on your video .. ?

From what you describe, it is impossible to say for sure if it is a faulty battery. It would be necessary to measure the voltage on the battery terminals during the operation of the vacuum cleaner and determine whether there is a significant drop in voltage that would cause the vacuum cleaner to shut down. In that case, replacing the battery should help. In my case, however, there was no drop in voltage (it was still over 14V), so I looked for the problem elsewhere and that led to a faulty fuse. If you have a multimeter, you can try to disassemble the lower cover of the vacuum cleaner, disconnect the battery and insert thin wires (to the contacts + and -) into its connector, long enough, then plug the battery back in and mount the lower cover. ATTENTION!!! DO NOT CONNECT THESE TWO WIRES TOGETHER, THIS WILL SHORT THE BATTERY!!! 😉 Place the multimeter on the vacuum cleaner, set it to measure voltage (V) and connect the two wires leading from the vacuum cleaner to its terminals. Turn on the vacuum cleaner and monitor the voltage during vacuuming until the vacuum cleaner turns off.

Hi, unfortunately I don't know the 1T model. It could be the same problem with the fuse, but it doesn't have to be. If you have a disassembled motherboard from this model, you can try to take a detailed photo of it and possibly mark where the battery connector is on it. I'll try to arrange something, but I can't promise anything.

Hello! I have the same problem, now I want to solve it. But I found a video on KZfaq - there they replaced the fuse as follows: they soldered a new fuse right on top of the old one, and you solder out the old one and only then install the new one, is there any difference, how is it better? Does it matter? kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lZuCl65zt7C7k3U.html
@tomasendlicher3587
@tomasendlicher3587 6 ай бұрын
Yes, the difference is that if the old fuse is still functional and they connect a second one in parallel with it, it increases the maximum possible current to the sum of their currents. This means that in the event of a fault, such as a short circuit, the fuse will no longer work safely.
