Also, Xiaomi phones are not updated the same way as other phones. MiUI and Android are updated separately and users of these phones are more excited for the skin updates than for the actual OS. A Xiaomi phone may get two Android updates but receive 3,4 or even 5 MiUI updates on top of the original launch version. I think I've seen some older Redmi phones with Android 7 and running MiUI 12 after launching with MiUI 8 or 9. I expect my phone to get Android 11 and up to MiUI 14 or 15 if I'm lucky.

man so much wrong with this video. You keep saying "almost matches" when you know the Redmi has 120Hz, headphone jack, bigger battery, IR blaster etc etc all things the iPhone on the right doesn't have. That's not "almost" that's "more". Also, my Mi8 Lite is 2.5 years old and still getting software updates, bought it with Android 8 and currently running Android 10. Why saying it will be left behind if you actually don't know

That is the biggest thing he made a mistake on. You can use an Android phone like that for at least 5 years easily. Also i think the correct thing would have been to at least say it matches because the iphone has stronger hardware and can play all games and do faster editing etc since it has top Cpu etc but misses all the features of the 9 Pro. Headphone jack, Screen, Ir blaster, SD card with extra dual sim support, FM radio, big battery, charger and case in the box, all those are actually more useful than a littler more power. Most smartphone users hardly utilize that power anyway.

It's cringe when someone says iOS for longevity, you should see how many people use redmi phones in asia which are 3 4 years old and they work fine as new and get much better battery life than iphones, iOS gets more updates doesn't mean iPhones have longer life, in fact iOS doesn't change much with updates and battery life and performance slightly slows down every year, and the mi ui is feature packed and can compete with iOS and you talk about software and consistency for 1300? But then you get same software for 400 too in iPhone se

Math says though that even if you keep buying new Xiamoi phones it's still cheaper then the iPhone. One lump sum of 1000$ now. Even if you buy 2 redmi note 10's you'll still be in the clear. Also they offer custom rom support.

Without too many comments, an interesting point of view !! You can't really compare these two phones directly ...but, surprisingly, there are some aspects that highlight certain positive elements for Redmi. From what can be seen everywhere, the display is better at Redmi, it has some features that are highly appreciated by customers: audio jack, SD card, IR blaster, quality fingerprint sensor, a very capable photo sensor in certain situations...Then you should not omit the options in the box at Redmi, on the iPhone you pay extra for them. So, overall, this Redmi will make many people use it with a smile of pleasure ...

There is a reason xiaomi is number 3 in the smart phone game. Xiaomi sends a lot of updates throughout the life of the phone. There phones are better then a lot of phones here in the US. I dropped the iphone for a xiaomi phone 5 years ago and the phone still works like the day I got it, can't say the same for my samsung or the apple for that matter.

My phone (Huawei Mate 30 Pro) broke down last January and couldn't have been more devastated. Since then, I've been looking at upgrading to an Iphone 12 pro max for the past six months. Been watching reviews for the 12 pro max for months and haven't really decided if I should go ahead and purchase because I kept spending my money on essential goods (esp having two kids). Then comes this phone, Redmi Note 10 Pro, and it blew me off. Definitely going to purchase this as a temporary phone as I am really looking to have an Iphone soon. Also the Iphone 13 is right around the corner, Im not going to purchase the Iphone 13 at launch date tho, maybe january of next year. :)

Nick Ackerman, sorry but you are telling a lot of things that are not true on Xiaomi. From the software updates (even 4 generations old low/midrange models get updates to android 10), the longevity of these phones is amazing. You are speaking about photography, dear, you are so unaware that the actual record holder for the best photography is a Xiaomi Mi 11 ultra, way better than any iphone, even the hardware is the best one (the first phone with Snapdragon 888, first with the new samsung sensor GN1 and GN2)... I suggest you, first study thing and then speak ;)

Nick, you could have use the same wallpaper and icons and a white Note 10 pro to make the comparison even more appealing. The premium feel of the iPhone (or any phone) disappears as soon people use a case I guess. That said: thanks for the honest review. Of course the iPhone is the better one but man, does this RMN 10 Pro deliver for €250,00 (vs €1200)

Is it better though? Do me it doesn't seem so. Because iphone has some things it does better due to mostly a most powerful processor that comes with the higher price BUT at the same time it has many things missing that the 9 Pro has. Can you throw 2 sims and your SD card? No you can't. No headphone jack as well. Fast charging? Maybe if you buy an extra charger costing as much as half the price of the 9 Pro. Ir blaster and remote app? Sorry, look for the controllers under the couch, etc. So if we add this and that it is mostly equal. And equal with a phone that is a quarter of it's price if not less, is just embarrassing.

@@SIPEROTH I'm not an Apple fan by any means. My whole family uses Xiaomi. I own a Poco F3 myself and I'm loving it. But realistically spoken the iPhone delivers for those who are in the iOS ecosystem and should be compared to a flagship Android phone like the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra.

@@hermanstokbrood But this is a general comparison. Not whether it delivers for those who are into iOS? I bet those who are into MIUI feel the same about the Xiaomi phone. Generally speaking the iphone delivers some things better while is worse in others which kind of makes them equal. I get that the iphone will edit my picture faster or play a game in higher settings or even take a great picture more easy. BUT at the same time it is missing the other things i said above. I need two sims at the same time because i have a work number and a personal number. I will like to do that while having my Sd card with my files as well. The iphone doesn't give me that. I hate looking for remotes around the house. I love controlling all the devices in my home and work threw just the phone i always have in my hand. Iphone doesn't give me that ether. I also use the phone many many hours in my work. I need a big battery etc etc. So by giving a point there and taking a point elsewhere, we end up pretty much to a close score and then we are just left with the price.

For those who said android doesn't have 5 years Software support,yes you are right,i use iphone too,but that doesn't mean it is unusable after 3 years,android is open platform,example my Xiaomi mi note 3 that still run smooth like new with custom rom android 10,Battery got better,Even the camera with gcam installed is still competitive to my iphone 11 😂

I have Poco X3, almost same device as Redmi Note 10 Pro, except lower power drain IPS screen, better selfie camera, better wide angle camera, lower spec main camera. 3 Years of updates promised, and I'm on February 2021 Security patch, so seems like Xiaomi is delivering. Peace

Actually just picked up the note 10 pro for a crazy price (£129) on Amazon deals. Wanted to dabble in android without committing fully with having an iPhone 13 pro max as my daily driver. Have to say I’m fully impressed and obviously this phone cannot match the flagship Apple device but it’s not a million miles away and the premium phone is definitely not worth 5,6,7 times the price. With a proper case on as would be the norm for many users, the comparison narrows yet again. The note 10 pro has many cool features, some I’d like Apple to adopt. iPhones exudes quality, they don’t have many of the gimmicks but what they have they do extremely well, attention to detail is faultless. Having said that for the price, the Note 10 pro is not to be dismissed, lower priced phones have certainly upped their game.

Just got the redminote 10 pro, and for anyone who might have or think getting it im telling ya its a really nice phone to have. Especially if your willing to manually update the 12.5 MIUI version with superwallpapers (look it up) its even nicer

Not true.. nobody would buy Gucci shirt if only cost 10 but now buying for 500. Everything is about right price and status. If 12 pro max cost 400 people would start complain about 60hz , slow charging, no fingerprint ,big notch. no charger in the box, and buy instead k40 pro+ because iphone at 400 loss of status and people would start to look different at apple brand.

Xiaomi make no more than a ridiculously low 5% profit per phone. How much profit do Apple make? iPhones have poor batteries, geared for obsolescence. Only advantage is aspect ratio.
