Насколько же он ( император) одинок. Одинок всю свою жизнь. Никому нельзя доверять,ни с кем нельзя поделиться,все предают. А здесь ещё и тот редкий случай,что пришлось оправдываться. Так что нечего завидовать деньгам и власти. Их оборотная сторона... не каждый на такую жизнь согласится

This is such a great scene to see again! There's so many great scenes in this drama! It's nice to stop and see a mini clip. Thanks for posting these mini scenes. I went back and watched the Generals Lady again lol .. because of mini clips. There's scenes I didn't I didn't see .. 2nd time round there's more to see. Great acting and great production teams ❤

In this scene the emperor is upset because Yinglou is taking medicine that is preventing her from conviceving. She is doing this to get back at the Emperor for treating the late empress badly when the late empress was going through depression due to her lost of her child. In whole, Yinglou was pretending to care for the emperor and wanting to have power. Once she is in that power she then rejects him. She used him to make the other concubine jealous of her but she has no feelings for the Emperor just so that he would feel the coldness of how he treated the late empress. Her really intention is to get back at the Emperor for what he did to the late empress.

@@maivnyiajvaj9085 Right, plus she also didn't want to get pregnant, because was afraid to die during labors. She also didn't want to have kids, because that would put her even in a greater war with other concubines, as she told the late empress she was afraid she would end up having selfish motives to make her sons heirs, worry for their lives. In total there were many reasons why she took the contraceptive potion. At that time she didn't feel strong love for the empreror, neither secure enough to risk all the above.

@@maivnyiajvaj9085it’s not so black and white, the relationship between Yingluo and the emperor was very complex. She wanted the Emperor to discover the reasons why the Empress committed suicide so needed to get close to him. But she also mistakenly believed that the Emperor had slept with Erqing which wasn’t true, Erqing tricked the Emperor at the time. We know the child’s father was Fuheng’s brother. So as a result in this episode she wanted to deliberately hurt the Emperor as she’d discovered Erqing was the final cause of the Empress’s suicide Afterward Yingluo spent 3 years at the Gardens and could’ve stayed there forever but during that time I think she realized how much she missed the Emperor, as a result it was her decision to return for herself and not for revenge, she was also jealous of Chenbi. Yingluo confessed to the Emperor that she wouldn’t ever have a child with someone she didn’t love. In later episodes you could see the deep love between Yingluo and the Emperor.
