Consort Yu, Yongqi's mother, colluded with Consort Chun to involve Yingluo in a serious crime against fifth prince's life. She didn't got severely punished since 1. Yongqi talked on her behalf and 2. She actually did that to help Yingluo set a trap on Consort Chun and bring her down. Although she didn't got severely punished, she was forced to separate from her child and asked him to follow Yingluo. Since then is implied that Yongqi was raised by Yingluo till her own kids were born, thus they're close as mother and son.

In Ruyi's series, Step empress (Ruyi) raises Yongqi, but there Consort Ling is also a horrible woman, unlike here. What I mean is, It doesn't matter what kind of outside info you have. To understand these series you must watch it, because it has it's own plot.

Everyone knows how Yingluo works, even the emperor. That's why she's always carefree, the emperor loves her dearly and can't punish her, because Yingluo is ALWAYS looking for ways to win his heart. That's hard work. Not a plot thing. And forgot about Chenbi? Yingluo was severely punished because of a misunderstanding; back at the late empress funeral, Yingluo made the emperor so angry that nearly killed her, but didn't FOR RONGYING'S BEHALF. She's constantly fighting, constantly trying her best to survive that insane harem, and constantly scheming to make real what she wants. She had no plot armour, she just makes lot's of back up plans beforehand, that's why she's considered cunning and intelligent 👀

@@izumiseiho5380 A) The Emperor wants to get into her pants most of the series. So he does literally *does nothing knowing* she has a hand, or is involved in serious situations. Heck, she's not: 1. Questioned when a member of the Royal Family is served with salted meat 2. She isn't killed, neither is her family for CURSING AND/OR *KILLING* a member of the Royal Family aka the Dowager Consort. I can't stress how improbable that is 😅 3. The Emperor isn't above the law. He is THE LAW. He bent it by not killing Wei Yinglo when there was no rational reason not to. Hongli was politically savvy so..🤷‍♀️ 4. Wei Yinglo *implies* that the Empress is a murderer or at the very least a conspirator more than once. As someone with no clan of importance, if the Empress (and she should've) punished Wei Yinglo's potty mouth the Emperor couldn't object. The Empress was in charge of these matters. The Emperor would only take a stand if it affected courtly matters. Otherwise, he'd look like a weak monarch. 5. Wei Yinglo literally makes crap up on the spot 😅🤣💀 Her tricks with the coin, the dog. Unless she has a magical crystal ball and could sense the other rivals schemes, she shouldn't have been prepared so throughly with a tailor made solution. And it's not like she had amazing counter arguments in the scenarios. She was just loud, rude and abrasive. Wei Yinglo followed no logic, she just happened to be right. If she wanted a smackdown with reserved Concubines that were logical, intelligent and fierce - she'd find Hailan, Ruyi, or even Zhen Huan much more formidable and unbeatable. Wei Yinglo was written above the other female characters to make her stand out as perfect, so she had no organic conflicts, no natural progression. She ALWAYS happened to be the smartest person in the room in any given situation. And when it looked like she'd be caught..she wasn't 🤣 Man..even Wei Yanwan was a better rounded character..because it showed the origins of her getting smarter and learning. Like an actual human being 😅🤣💀

It’s a tv shows and she’s the main character what we’re you expecting, for her to be dragged through the mud her whole time in the show and just die at the end , this show is not accurately based on history Tvshows like this are never are get a grip sis !
