Mother Nature constantly gives us a lot of things every season. It's amazing that bamboo shoots grew so strong,but it's even more amazing that snails grow well in spring inside the house. You're so versatile, making wonderful dishes and tools with all these natural gifts. I wonder how Luosifen noodles tastes.

@@breimalislobodnoime Agree. There were tons of wasted food in the metropolitan areas every day. On the other hand, there were drought, flooding, wildfire, locust etc happen on our planet at the same time. We do not have forest and lake in our apartment, Neither the wolf or bear in our neighborhood.

@@fredali1904 I agree that war and violent crime has always been bad and cost millions of human lives. This string of comments, however, is about earth providing enough food for everyone, which it very obviously does not. Trying to feed 8 billion people requires intensive farming, fishing, and breeding, along with cutting down wast areas of rain forest and other wildlife sanctuaries, while producing poisonous emissions, that in turn provides climatic chaos that destroys crops from severe flooding or draught. Don't blame any of that on war or bombs as they, if anything, bring the number of hungry mouths down and not up.

........ brought me back to the memory of those days .......... 40 years ago when my grandmother took me for a walk to our bamboo forest in spring time to dig out baby shoots. I can still taste that steamed rice with bamboo shoots and homegrown peanuts. Thanks for taking me back to good old times :))

The bamboo-cutting tool was beautifully designed and functioned perfectly. I loved the markings on the wood part of the handle. I wish we had bamboo forests in Canada.
