2**k is the formula to decide the class intervals. The class interval will be the value of k when the answer is the nearest to the range. As in this case if we take k=4 the answer to the above formula will be 16 which is nearest to the range which is 19. -Thank you ; )

For mid point firstly you have to upper class + lower class / 2 And for relative freq you have to frequency / n ( total frequency)

In the given data instead of 54, if we take a maximum value 55 then what will happen? The range in this case is still 5, but 55 doesn't lie in the fourth group. What we do in such a cases?
