I cant help but keep tearing when watching all President Xi's vids! He's such an honorable man! Long live President xi!

When Xi was younger he stayed in America with an American family. Years later when he became 2nd in charge of china, he came to visit America again and the first thing he did was to come back to visit the American family again just to pay his respects to them. This shows how humble human being he is.

Most world leaders will take the festivals in their countries as an opportunity to slow down and indulge in expensive life styles， by taking whole family on govt jets go Alps skiing, golfing, yatching, all at taxpayers expense. Xi, in contrast, leaves behind the family reunion and go "holidaying" at the hardest places on earth every year. What a contrast !!!!

CHINA is HUGE with 1.4 billion. An amazing 750 million lifted out of poverty. 700+ million urbanised (60%); 622 cities. Of the last 30 million poor - Many places are very far and desolate, harsh , little roads, in the hills... what about the old? Most dont want to move from traditional homes. Many are of the 55 minority tribes far from the coastal. Some must stay back to take care of old ... it is the same as the poor parts of USA too. small towns that are out of the route of prosperity that has nothing but sleep, so the last 30 million are the most difficult to solve. But China is not giving up. It is Xi's solemn promise. So for the first time in world history of 5000 years, perhaps one country, and also the largest may not have a single poor person accordingly to UN definition of poverty line. I saw a documentary where an entire village of 500 people was moved and given brand new homes for free; all they needed was to pay utilities.

Why? Because its the true communist way. Many choose to be poor though, there are so many opportunities in China to rise from poverty, work in the factories, go to university, or join the military, but there are places that have stayed true to peasantry, and provide the country with its much needed agricultural products, especially rice. Yet these people are still deprived of many things that those have in the city.

Chinese leaders are distinctly different than western ones in this regard. For thousands of years, successions of Chinese leaders have been expected to treat the welfare of the people as their responsibilities. Such an attitude and the expectation of it came from the Confucius way of thinking where the political leader is thought of the head of the big family known as the nation. This is a fundamental difference from the western democracy where the leader is elected from often conflicting interests of clashing groups of people.
