Enhanced Drop Rates - The first 15 times you beat an Overlord/Calamity boss after the weekly reset, you have a higher chance of an echo drop. So i.e. always farm the boss you want the echo of after the weekly reset at least 15 times. I suggest the calamity bosses since they take longer to beat.

Something to keep in mind with character ascension mats: Pre level 30 you will be getting 1 mat per run then 2 mats on your second run (repeating). This means you’ll need to claim rewards 4 times to rank up your character from 50 to 60. Post lvl 30 you’ll gain 2 ascension mats every time, which means it’ll only take 3 runs to ascend your character.

I found it very similar to Genshin and am using the same levelling strategy as Genshin: 0. Only focusing on 3 characters to avoid spreading resources too thin (I only have 3 characters from the story levelled with 5 star sitting there at level 1 until I get to the highest databank level to make echos less grindy) 1. Weapon level 2. Level up forte that I use the most (called talents in Genshin and traces in HSR), levelling the character only if I need to level the forte 3. Echos are whatever I picked up that has a somewhat useful base stat, plus at least one HP or DEF echo to avoid annoying oneshot while fumbling the game on mobile (This is the same as Genshin - weapon, then talents ascending character as needed, then artifact with half decent main stats, then the last bits of character level up to the next AR) Similar to my Honkai Star Rail playthrough, the challenges keep telling me my level is too low, but I’m able to finish anyway on mobile while getting hit every third attack. It’ll be interesting when theorycrafters come up with optimal ratios of damage vs waveplate spent, but pretending it is Genshin or HSR is working well enough for me so far at level 30 / databank 14. I’ll be doing more databank exploration as per this guide.

One more thing on union level 30 is the guaranteed main stat 5 star echo in the illusive store from the depth of illusion realm event will be unlocked. Make sure to get them and also make sure to read the description of it to not pick the wrong echo!

one thing about the detect feature is it shows you the closest to you. so if you hate farming in a certain place, cancel detection transfer places and detect again

You'll want to wipe the map for all of them because the rates are pretty low early on

well if you have time and you "want" to then yeah. base drop rate of echoes are just 20% at lvl 10. never really wiped the map but im already almost lvl19 at data bank. haven't beaten all the red mobs yet. unless you want to get those sweet monthly rewards in adversity i don't really recommend speeding up this process. we'll have to do tacet fields at some point and it will give us random echoes and we can also merge echoes to speed up lvling of data bank even more. based on my exp on cbt2, after a while i just kept on doing tacet fields, 3 cost echoes and a couple of boss rotations. in the end sometimes I'm luckier than others and sometimes more unlucky than the others

Something that will help people leveling up to data 15 is that there are Gold Echos that you can find in the overworld which xlice does briefly mention at around 8:00. There are a few named enemies with red names that are very tough but can be killed. You can also join other peoples world to kill them and acquire them as well. (Even if you acquired them already) Sorry I can’t post the location exactly but the type of mobs that I saw that you can get a gold echo for I’ve listed below Spearback, cyan heron, stonewall bracer, roseshroom, traffic illuminator, glacio prism, snip snap and hoochief. Should note that the last couple are a lot more difficult to face as they have more than one mob to face.

the enhanced echo drop rate basically increases the chance of a boss echo appearing after u kill it, that's why you notice theres always a high chance of echo dropping when killing bosses. however as it says it has a limit. The limit refreshes weekly which is always Monday. Basically 15 boss kills has enhanced drop rate for a week.

@@fancyoat1588 I dont know if you found out but currently the shiny echos have a specified location, the shiny variant of the turtle can be found in two places if i remember right and one of them is beside the bell turtle. Also there is currently only 2 shiny echos in the overworld and i think 4 more to buy with currency from the tower or something like that.

Only because I JUST saw a post on twitter about Enhanced Drop Rate! Its a set number of tries that resets WEEKLY that increases your chances at getting Boss, both weekly Calamity (forte upgrade material) versions and the respawning Overlord class (character ascension material) versions! So use your 15 chances every week on the bosses you want to target farm!!!

For those wondering what the "Enhanced Drop Rate" is, it basically increases of drop rate of bosses depending on the value of Enhanced Drop Rate (way higher than Base Drop Rate). You can only do this 15 times per week, hence the "Remaining chances" under it. If it's 0 for you then you'll to wait for a week to reset. You can leverage so you don't have to keep fighting the same boss over and over just to get an echo for the first 15 every week. It's good if you use it on any boss echoes (Overlord or Calamity) you specifically want.

@Reiner5200 Yep, you can, but the chances of getting an echo are much lower. That's why you wanna make use of the 15 chances you get from Enhanced Drop Rate every week on bosses you wanna farm. It's good at Data Bank Level 20 because it's guaranteed at 100%.

also there seems to be like a "pity" system when it comes to echoes dropping, being the overworld bosses alongside with the calamity bosses drops a guaranteed echoes every 3rd try, of course it'll always be based on your luck whether it'll drop or not but in the case of you not getting those echoes within 2 tries (calamity and overworld bosses only) the next one is a guaranteed echo drop (this "pity" system only applies for when you've used up all your 15 weekly enhanced drop rates) this also applies to elite classes but it takes 4 times for a guaranteed drop to occur.

Based on my experience, I just saved up all my echoes until I reached Data Bank level 15. Then I started doing Data merge using all my unusable Echoes. I ended up being over Data bank level 17 because of the Gold Echoes I obtained using Data Merge.

Enhanced drop rate is important as it will give you a 90% increased chance for drop rate of the first enemies you fight when the week resets on a Monday. Therefore on a Monday you want to use that on world bosses or elite class enemies to ensure better drops rates

From the drop down on it, seems to be for any Cost 4 echo, or any echo you are targeting. Mine says 0/15, and people are saying it resets on a weekly basis. That kind of sucks. I wish it was daily.

I believe the enhance drop rate increases the likelihood to get a echo for the first 15 times ,works on overlord and calamity echos only also has probability that depends on data bank level. Sadly after 15 tries it refreshs at weekly instead daily at 4 pm mobday (for my case on NA server) I hope this was useful.

For the boss echo there's a pity aswell. Every 2 bosses u are garanted to get the echo so if u need the turtle boss for example and u didnt get it the first time, just wait for the respawn and u can get the echo 100% Apply to cost 3 echo but every 4 monster of the same rank

Enhanced Drop rate mean for 15 times per week the drop rate for a Overlord or Calamity class Boss will turn into an echo is increased( depends on ur data bank level) after those 15 turns are done the drop rate will decrease to the base that is 20%. hope that helps.

I didn't see this mentioned here. Maybe I just didn't pay attention. You can go and do Tacet Fields, but not claim the rewards. You will still get Echoes as if you killed normal mobs. For me so far it seems like I get 2 5* Cost 1 Echoes and 2 5* Cost 3 Echoes per Tacet Field. Without claiming. This is one of the best ways for me to farm Cost 3 stuff

The enhanced droprate is an enhanced chance for overlord and calamity lvl bosses to drop an echo after a fight. Those drops are limited though and reset every week. If the chances are depleted the standart droprate of 20% applies. They really havnt made that clear enough though...

you also need onion lvl30 to unlock lvl15 data bank. learned that the hard way, rushed databank to 15 only to get told you need SOL3 phase something. but I was 28 already so it was close. So just rush to union lvl30 as it is where things start to slow down significantly. it takes only 2-4 days to reach lvl30, and an estimated 1 month for 40. lol

Yeah, because we've now depleted all the permanent XP resources in the game. If you started at launch and used your wave plates every day you could still reach union 40 very close to people who've grinded out everything already even if you aren't union 20 yet.

I’m that player that ranks up all my characters near equally because I’m constantly switching my teams up. I got stupid lucky in the gacha and i have all but 2 characters and I’ve only bought the lunite sub. I’ve mostly spent my plates on character level mats and totally forgot about leveling skills until i got to 30. I really should just focus on like 2 teams and just pump all my plates and mats into them for like a week.

About the enhanced drop rate thing: Basically the first 15 bosses you do per week (I think) have a higher chance to drop echoes, that's all there is to it. After that they go back to the normal 20% drop rate. It's a pretty useless feature considering that we will need to farm bosses hundreds of times to get good echoes.

It’s easier to do over levelled enemies in single player, as every dodge has a long time frame window to punish. Wheras in coop if you dodge there is no window to punish, so the echo continues attacking. This is from personal experiences at least

CHAT: enhanced from rate resets every week. 15/15 means you still have chances to proc the EDR. It essentially means your drop rate for echoes for overlord/calamity classes increase by x amount when you fight them

So, dods that means it'll close after a certain period of time time (can never do it again), or just the subsequent connecting-quest appear every next day like some of the Genshin quests?

@@cjcatague2607 mmm basically you have to do part of the quest then it will tell you to wait for something which takes one irl day. The quest after this one Fabled Cube Mechanics has 3 parts taking 3 days to finish and shadows of the past has 2 parts so together they take 5 days to complete.

How do you complete the "Complete Tacent Field" tasks from battle pass? I tried doing domain and stuff but it's not counting it.

You clear tacet fields, which basically give you echoes if you use waveplate, but you don’t have to claim and it will count towards the bp

I recommend not farming tacet fields until you’ve got your two teams for Tower of Adversity. Just farm overworld enemies for echoes

UL 34 almost 35 rn, almost every area 100% and data bank maxed (if not for SOL-3 cap). What I'm doing right now is Tactical hologram, and Tower of Adversity. Tactical hologram can be done on level 70 (difficulty 4) at least i can do that, i can't do difficulty 5, maybe that's my skill issue but boss one-shots you. Anyways what you should be doing is exactly those two. My luck is horrendous and from 120 basic wishes i got only one 5 star on 50 guaranteed, so i don't have another main dps, tower gotta wait. So hologram for now.
