➤ using artifact stats only, 1 + CR * CD || for example, +50% CR and +100% CD from artifacts only would be 1 + 0.50 * 1.00 = 1.5
➤ this is a close approximation of mathematical dps strictly considering CR and CD (no ATK factored)
➤ Artifact "Crit Value" quality:
➤ 2 * CR + CD || for example, 10% CR and 20% CD artifact would have 40 "Crit Value
➤ "Stat Value" = CV + ER + HP/ATK/DEF (depending on character's scaling)
We call it RV in this video but will refer to it as SV in the future.

A bit confusing since RV is already a thing and is used for something slightly different - calculating the "potential" of a substat roll when compared to the max possible substat roll (e.g. 7.8% crit damage is 100% RV, and 5.4 is 70%, and an artifact can have a max of 900% RV - i.e. all substat rolls were the max possible).

@@Xlice Nice. I do think looking at how many relevant substat rolls you have in total is a valid indicator of build/investment level too (rather than just CV) so hopefully this catches on, although a balance of stats can often be better than just pure number of good stats.

As many have mentioned, RV is already an established metric, originated from Genshin Optimizer and adopted by Akasha. I thought I'd provide some context in its conception. RV is a barebone metric that only evaluates artifacts on a substat level: how well an artifact's substats are rolled compared to the maximum value achievable. Although RV can somewhat correlate with how "good" an artifact is, it is by no means perfect. This is simply due to the fact that it is very difficult to judge how effective an artifact is without putting it in the context of a build on a character/team. Even on an artifact level, it cannot account for main stats, artifact set, nor how effective your characters can utilize each stat. Unfortunately, since the Genshin Optimizer does not, and will not tell users how to play the game, it is up to the players to properly educate themselves, and mentally weigh the RVs on their artifact in context with their artifact availability, main stats, character setup, and overall usefulness. A "result-focused" app like Genshin Optimizer and Akasha may be able to evaluate a build on a "output damage" perspective, but RV should not be used as a way to evaluate builds in the first place. The issue with coming up with a standardized metric is that there is so much "it depends" in Genshin that cannot be represented with a simple formula that someone can calculate with a napkin scratch. your "RV"(SV) metric is probably as superficial as the aforementioned CV in terms of nuance, simply because it skims over any complexity presented by a character and how those stats are used. Your idea of "putting some scaling stats together in a formula" approach is not acceptable on a mathematic level, and only serves to misinform and muddy the water of genshin discourse. I applaud you for trying to go a layer above CV, but I fear that you might need to give it some more thought. Calling it RV will only damage the legitimacy of Genshin math that I've spend years trying to cultivate, and I fear this may be a big step back towards empowering the player base with information that can help them build their characters. The state of Genshin discourse is very CV heavy, which leads to a lot of general ignorance, but the same can be said for RV/SV/others as well, if creators and guide creators don't frame its nuances in the right manner. There is current not a "catch all" metric that a streamer can use to evaluate a build, and I understand and can appreciate that gap. However, through this video, I think you are doing a disservice to your viewers if you are not making them aware of any inherent flaws within your review methodology.

I have no idea how the feather at 7:36 is 28 "RV" However, it's also worth noting that the choice of name for whatever that is supposed to represent is horrible and is only going to confuse your viewers and others. Roll Value already exists in Genshin Optimizer and on Akasha(dot)cv and it means something entirely different from what you're using it to mean here. I implore you to change what you call it (perhaps to something like stat value) or to change your metric to actual RV, though using real RV will be a bit hard to "mental math", because it would be total [sum of valuable substats ]. But as it is, using the exact same name to mean something else is just bad practice, and I dislike it fundamentally. So for example, the same feather at 7:36 would either be ((20.2/7.77) + (15.2/3.89) + (5.2/6.5)) * 100 = 730% RV, or 55.8 SV (stat value). Still have no idea where 28 came from.

Sometimes I feel like of my characters aren't top 100, they're not good enough. But then I have to take a step back and remember I'm still like top 3% of a lot of my respective characters, and that's still kinda crazy.

16:09 ok but I genuinely had to do that one time to clear abyss💀 I used to only have ayaka and keqing as main DPS and non of the teams were good enough without kazuha Since aggravate did better for me ( low investment on account) I just build ayaka like that and put her with yao yao, xingqiu and traveler

I checked akasha for Yae rankings, and all aggravate top rankers seem to have 4 pc gilded or golden troupe. The few 2pc 2pc rankers have aroudn 2.5k attack with similar or better crit ratios. So maybe thats the one thats skewing your Yae's ranking

Genshin optimizer is, imo, the best tool in the genshin community for making builds. It also happens to be the most accurate damage calculator. There is no good app or tool that can "rate" a build though, the closest would be the leaderboard site that people sometimes talk about

Search “Genshin Optimizer” It takes nearly a whole day of work to set up (if you don’t trust account scanners), but it’s worth it. You can even configure JSON files to optimize for a whole rotation and that one takes up even more time.

Neuv with his sig can run HP/hydro/crit to HP/HP/HP or any combination of those. It depends on your team and what your exact artifacts are. I recommend using genshin optimizer and it will do all that math for you to tell you which of your builds does the most damage, and the discord has people willing to help if you're new, too. If you don't care to make it truly correct, though, HP/HP/crit is likely to be the best if you also have furina, otherwise hydro goblet

@@Balakin2 it depends, which is the big thing. HP/Hydro/HP for a C2 and above is the best overall if you have good substats. but honestly the difference is minimal in all these and you probably dont have pieces of equal value to really check, so just use what you have the best of tbh

@@Dnarte_ Sounds a heck of a lot like what i said :P Use GO because it is the only thing that can give someone a correct answer while considering ALL the "it depends" things, but for someone not wanting to get their perfect answer, i said to use the best of what they've got because any combination of hp, hydro, and crit mainstats are all viable.

Cv is crit value the math is calulated by crit rate x 2 + crit damage = crit value Depending your team/standards a 21cv piece can be good or you can use a godly piece to cover that weakness

It's a way to talk about both crits at once, and is mostly a "for fun" metric. A high CV artifact can often be worse than a lower CV artifact depending on the team, other substats, and the rest of your build.

You run furina and ayaka on the same team lol. Furina provides damage percent so you can run an attack goblet instead of a cryo one on ayaka.

with shenhe, crit becomes more valuable than atk, even with that low of atk. thats why you run atk circlet if you dont have shenhe, but cd if you do.

@@Slipackeil high atk always worked better for ayaka with shenhe even with the buffs she gives, atk is insanely valuable on ayaka 1950 isnt enough no matter what anyone thinks, with an atk circlet they would have to get a perceft cv atk circlet to have atleast 40/240 ratio so their cd would be low, my ayaka with an atk ciclet has 35/260 2400 does better (without food buffs obviously) rather than with more cd, the cryo dmg increase is also only 15% 🤷‍♀️ and idk where you took "shenhes quills buffs based on ayakas crit" from
