Early in the comics she would mix the powers of others at the same time. Heroes for Hope was one of my first comics, and the whole team donated their powers to her so she could stop the enemy entity. Gave some cool visuals.

The one thing I like about this statue over the Sideshow one is how her jacket is sculpted and not mixed media.

It's a nice statue and a nod to the first X-Men film when both Rogue and Wolverine were taken in by the X-Men to their X mansion where Wolverine having trouble sleeping when Rogue tried to calm Wolverine down by her using her power, given with this statue Rogue using Wolverine's power as well which is a good concept. Nice review.

I think the creative teams are getting burnt out with the sentinel theme. At least if they had told the artists to go with her lifting something way more massive than a couple of cables and conduits, the rest of the statue would've naturally gotten the boost in intensity that it needed. Hell, make it so she's literally in the process of ripping the cables out of the sentinel if they're trying to save on material cost. Details/technical side is spot on, just needs a little more excitement. Always appreciate your insight my man!

The facial expressions are great I do love the smirking sculpt more though that reminds me of Rogue from the 90’s

I agree with you. The serious sculpt is the way yo go and not really feeling the switch out hands. The kinetic card and screaming face would have pushed this over the edge. Still may pick this up.

I know I'm in the minority but I actually like this one more than Sideshows. I think SS's has a better pose, the flight look is great but the sculpt and details on this one are far better in my (unpopular) opinion. I also just can't get past the SS portraits, where as I think the first one here is outstanding (the second one leaves much to be desired, thankfully I can only display one). I do agree with your point Gem, on the switchouts. They're all pretty lackluster tbh, but I do like the mirrored "ripped out" piece of sentinel she's holding, I think that looks great and the way I'd be displaying her. The rest, meh, if I could buy this and save $100 and get no switchouts, it would be an easy decision but alias, here we are. Great video as always my man, thanks for your content. So glad to see your channel growing like it is.

I would like a big smile showing teeth, agreed about the wolverine colossus hand. It's super hard to show motion in a still object so unless you do it right it looks like they're just holding stuff, like the spine. I love the hair and colors though.

I’m with you, not a deal breaker but not a fan of those hand switch outs. So much potential for it to be out of bounds amazing! But I feel like it was a missed opportunity. Colors are great, face is great, pose is good, just a little more thought needed to go into it. Great review as always, thank you for what you do!

I think it looks great. Very close between XM and SS on this one. I do prefer the pose on SS thought. Honestly we are just splitting hairs. They are both amazing and look gorgeous. Please do a comparison of the 2 side by side when you get your hands on this.

The sculp in picture does look better than the one from sideshow tho! It's usually like that for me. Sideshow does have the edge in the pose most of the time but XM sculpt are most often than not, on top.

The fact that the card switch out doesn’t have some kinetic energy around the card or even a hint of it coming from her finger tips/hand is probably the biggest let down and gripe I have with this statue.

Looks good. Was looking forward to this one but just not feeling it after the full reveal. Maybe the pose? Feels mundane. The Side Show pops a bit more.

I prefer the Sideshow Rogue myself as well, but this one is still good. I agree that the hands swaps are lacklustering... 1 should have been just the wolverine's bone claw, as for the gambit one it's needs that pink glow, as for the portraits... obviously the serious look is the best way to go on this piece.

Love some rouge but I love more aggressive rouge pieces ... still looks nice and super good detail. Gambit is a dope side piece with this 1.. I prefer sideshow over this tho.... grail

I much prefer this statue of Rogue, love the face sculpt and detail in her jacket and suit but wish they had her in a more dynamic pose like sideshow

I would have liked a more angry expression especially with her ripping a sentinel apart, and I agree with your comment about the Gambit card. All the switch outs a bit weak in my opinion and the expressions on the two portraits aren’t different enough for me personally. But then again I live in the UK so I won’t be getting it unless I pay mega money for shipping through a third party seller .

1300, plus taxes and covid shipping will add another 400 dollars minimum. If you can accept the Collector Edition portrait, I would buy Sideshow's. Otherwise, just keep saving your money, there will be a better Rogue then this one coming out in the future.

I really like it, but not enough to add it to my collection. Seems like there's a bit missing to it. I agree with what you said about Gambit's kinetic power lighting up the card to add that extra something. The sculpt, colours, and textures are incredible. I want it, but can live without it. IMO I think she looks better than the Sideshow piece with the details and portraits (there should have been an angry one), but falls short because of how dynamic the pose of Sideshow's is. Hoping XM Studios does a Jean Grey with that amount of detail to go with my Dark Phoenix!

I like this piece but agree that the left hand switch outs could have been better. Some display of kinetic energy around the card should have been a no brainer
