In Otoman Empire were many nations.In that time they had to choose relegion or language.In places which were many people they spoke Pontian (Greek diallect)and had also relegion Cristianity. The exchange was on relegion basis but many Greeks became Muslims and stayed in Turkey.So in Turkey there are many Greeks who are muslims and are afraid to say that are Greeks.
