Things we need: - New game + - The ability to customize clothes and gear - The ability to change seasons - house points or moral system - Interraction with people and object - "boss" enemies who can use unforgivables. 1 per poacher camp - enemies that can use the desillusion spell to turn invisible and attack. - Enemies that can protego/stupefy - Add spells like the ability to summon inferi, column of fire or turn into an animal since the animation already exist. - Prefets at night in Hogwart so you need to sneak out. Floo flame disable during the night. If caught they send you straight back to bed. And you lose house point of course - have random npc flying on broom - Add ability to choose 1 companion between Natty, Poppy, Amit and Sebastian: Natty (gryfindor) would animagus into a gazelle and attack. Or at least have her fight wandless Poppy (hufflepuff) would throw plants. Amit (ravenclaw) would use potions and complain. Sebastian would use unforgivables. - Change the Sonic the hedgehog dodge roll move to short distance apparition - reduce Avada Kedavra cooldown time.

Definitely would love more stories into the professors like Hecat how she was "wounded by time", in addition to Natsai and Sebastian, maybe we can visit Poppy's parents? i would love something into Miriam and Professor Fig, Lodgok and Ranrok. These would be amazing to look into!

@@simmerrue nope, all the Ravenclaw characters in the game are poorly written and just straight up annoying and insufferable. We need fresh characters for Ravenclaw who are as Well Written, Fleshed out, Interesting and compelling just like Sebastian, Ominis, Poppy and Natsai.

All the cut content like companions, house points, the entire cut third of the map, morality system to justify the negative aspects of using the Dark Arts to return to the main game. - add stealthing around staff and prefects when out of bed after hours. That was fun for the 2 missions we got to do it in. - MINIMUM 5 HOUSE UNIQUE QUESTS (per house, 20 total) and dialogue options unique to the 4 houses. It increases replayability knowing your house defines your story. - the ability to SIT IN CHAIRS AND EAT IN THE GREAT HALL FFS! - Increase level cap and thus gear so we can max out the tree, but make it harder to get XP (SO YOU CAN INSERT THE CLASSROOM SIMULATOR). - Gobstones and Chess and Exploding Snap all yes but also permanent Crossed Wands and Summoner's Court. Quidditch mini-game in 3rd act only would be fine (ties off Kogawa's subplot). - 7 new spells including Patronus and tie into WW account just like wand and house. - at least 4 new enemy types and a new reskin (including Dementors). - More cosmetics, more mounts - MORE SECRETS AROUND HOGWARTS. The school was the best part of the game, the open world was not so great, let's have MORE hidden corridors, MORE puzzles, MORE locations from the books, MORE lore stuff (library books?) and more reason to stay around the school rather than the open world. So NO to Uagadou.

Most importantly EXPLAIN WHAT ANCIENT MAGIC IS. At no point do we learn anything about Ancient magic other than that Isadora abused her magic and made a repository of ancient magic via pain she stole from people. The whole point of the Game was that we were to learn about the Ancient Magic that we wield and we NEVER do.

One of the new enemies I really want is lethifolds. They’re similar to dementors, and also require the Patronus Charm to defend against, but they’re more brutal.

Yes all of this. Over half the game was cut & the pacing after the introduction was just go go go! There was no time to absorb anything or get a feel for the characters. Overall the game was a horrible unfinished mess that's my opinion. Companions, house points, curfew system, permanent crossed wands, the entire cut part of the map & morality but not in the way that it will punish us for the mere use of the curses. Consequences should only be if an NPC catches you & it should not affect your appearance..I'm sick of that whole " drugs are bad m'kay" take & it's just red eyes pale sunken skin etc show it affecting us with different dialogue options 1 that sounds like it would appeal to a dark arts practitioner or someone neither good nor evil. Definitely add tension at night, I want to have the same atmosphere like COS & absolutely have be able to jinx prefects & defend ourselves & take a pageout of bullies book & stuff student & staff alike in to closets or the equivalentof a locker...we can take down ashwinders without blinking but are no match for students? Really? Make each of the quests per house different but unique. Ravenclaw we got shafted hard in this game, a flying entrance, elegant common room & clothes is really the only things I like about our house..Amit is not a companion to me. Make a proper RCC. Make quests that are about exploring different branches of magic & especially AM perhaps a path going against the keepers wishes...which I'm all for. Alow us to define our story & stop forcing us down the road of the writers vision. The fact that the CM made fun of those of us who simply wanted more immersion when sitting...not cool & very poor taste. Sitting is so basic & would allow those of us to soak in the atmosphere. Mini games for the classroom or let us take on old HP dungeon style dungeons to aquire spells & XP, this really should have been a no brainer. Classes were horribly glossed over. Make the talent tree much more versatile & filled out. Yes to all the mini games gobstones, exploding snap & what about knomb throwing? Throwback to COS sorry poppy no I won't consider the knombes! & as for quidditch what about practicing beating the bludger or passing the quaffle like we see other students on the castle grounds doing? I'd say 10 new spells including the 2 blasting curses we can't use Reducto/ Expulso, Fiendfyre, the patronus, episkey, Aquamenti, incarcerous etc. Yes more foe types. Dementors yes vampires, werewolf. Even ashwinders using the UFG's curses. More mounts like an underwater mount. If I recall there was barely any secrets I think there was 5 which was absolutely pitiful. Hogwarts has tons & tons this game never even scratched the surface. Give is far more reasons to stay at Hogwarts don't just punt us out of the structure we're supposed to learn at. Puzzles, secret corridors, rooms, games etc.

I would love a map/world expansion, more mini games and side quests (I love the Merlin trials!), more space in the vivariums (more decor for them and the shop - if you do the Haunted Hogsmeade quest), and yes, more spells! The Ashwinders and Poachers have spells that we don't have (Reducto). Oh and please allow our characters to sit down.

(Trying to keep my hopes small and realistic, but- ) - I would love to see a more detailed potions brewing system! Give us a timed mini game where we must cut, crush, and/or grind our ingredients into a batch. Instead of waiting around for five minutes just for ONE potion, we get five out of the batch we brewed ourselves, it could also be based on how well we did in the mini game the number of potions we successfully brewed (perhaps we didn't do as well, and only get three or two bottles back, or none at all if failed!) (there could even be added a skill perk where you receive double the amount you successfully brewed for a potioneer type branch). - I'd also like to see some consequence for dying (as I play on hard, but find it too easy with little risk). Perhaps when we respawn, we lose an amount of our gallons (similar to Red Dead), or find that we've accidentally "dropped" some of our previously gathered ingredients (I would also enjoy a limit to how much we can actually carry, as this would force players to go out in search of more ingredients from time to time). - Special clothing. I'm not too bothered by the randomized loot, but it would be awesome if we could find unique gear when fighting a more powerful wizard, or searching certain chests (this all not being randomized, but set the same for everyone). You could get a potioneer's special satchel that allows you to carry more ingredients or a belt to carry more potions. Perhaps a unique pair of shoes some wizard enchanted that allows you to move both quickly and quietly, rather than having to crouch and be invisible. - And finally, I would love to see the Devs given free rein! Let them add content they originally wanted to see in the game, but had to cut.

If any of the devs are reading this: literally all I want is more immersion like the ability to sit anywhere whether that be a chair, sofa, the grass to simply take in the atmosphere. Sleeping and making the common rooms feel more alive. Lastly smarter NPCs would be nice.

I think it's better to keep my expectations low so I won't get disappointed, but if I could choose then I'd want: Diagonalley (and knockturn alley), where we could buy useful items, resources, unique cosmetics and furniture, and find quests, perhaps recycleable bounty missions to assist aurors. And knockturn alley where you could also go if you are a dark wizard and find more exclusive things there. Some sort of Azkaban exploration, perfect opportunity for us to get our patronus too. Could maybe me linked with the auror sidequest missions from diagonalley I mentioned before, so you can actually see the dark wizards you've arrested for worldbuilding. Multiplayer. The social part is something that most fans enjoy about Harry Potter. I want to play with my fiancee together. Then we should also get healing / buff spells like episkey so we can focus on which role we want to play in a group. Then the talent system should be more like a tree, with the special defining upgrades being in the further branches. NG+ is almost a non-negotiable lol. And I'd really want something for more replay ability in end game. Multiplayer with roleplay elements can do that, bounties from aurors/dark wizards could do that, there's just no reason for me to play after 100%ing the game. I have to nerf myself to make combat engaging again, besides that there is not really much to do because there's few consequences for "bad options" you take. I've seen the story enough times already. I hope they do their best on this one. It'd be really disappointing if it were as small as the summer update, but I think we can safely place our expectations at least a little higher than that. The final thing I'd add is that if this costs money, then it absolutely MUST be upgradeable from the base game. That is 100% non negotiable. I'm not paying for the same game twice, especially not considering that I pre-ordered the digital deluxe edition. That'd just be horrible. I really hope that they won't do that.

You make some good points! I’ve been playing Ghost of Tsushima recently, and for HLDC I’d love to find more on Merlin, since new spells and abilities. If you went down the dark path, then maybe a finisher that has you fly up into the air like a death eater and finish off an enemy. Would LOVE for a Quidditch mini game if they are able to work that in since the headmaster cancelled quidditch for that year. Gobstones, maybe collect Wizard Cards

Among increased immersion, sandbox, and Hogwarts simulation content, I'd really love to see general optimizations of the game. I'm not sure what the summer update did, but I have to wait a full minute or more on a black screen when I start the game, and then further having to wait for shaders to compile. I'm even getting worse performance than previously, and I keep getting frame drops that I never had before. I also have to restart the entire game to change graphical settings. I really don't understand why shaders need to be recompiled every single time the game starts. It's not as though my hardware has updated. This is horrendous. *Edit:* Nvm, I remember why my performance was better before. I reinstalled the game this update and obviously that undid all of my previous changes. I had to mod the game in a number of ways to fix the performance that the game should've had by default. Though the game crashes randomly with or without these mods. It's honestly making me not want to play until this is fixed.

I would love us to be able to import and use our Patronus. Hopefully they will give us the chance to choose the season when the natural process is complete too. I do expect some kind of Quidditch gameplay, but honestly, I'm not fussed about that either way. I hope for an extension of our storyline with Sebastion too, but what I really want is an achievement for petting all the cats! Maybe I get to keep one as a reward too!

Besides the new content ideas mentioned in this video, let's not forget the RoR -- more decorative objects, ability to use vivarium objects within the RoR itself, among other ideas -- and the ability to use spell craft outside of the RoR: spell craft in the Hogsmeade store (customize the store) and in the Map Chamber (make the place into an office since our player character is the only one we know of who can use Ancient Magic.)

I really want to see Unsupported Flight, Apparition and the spells used by NPCs: Raising Inferi, Fire/Lightning Storm and Incarcerous Would be nice to have something like Mobilicorpus and the water ball spell used by Dumbledore too but I think it might be a stretch 🤷♂🤷♂

I'd love to see us find a cure for Anne, but also your Merlin story has me intrigued too! I would also love to find out more about ancient magic too as it's such an enigma - even in the lore! Companions is a big must for me too! I have the mod and it's been wonderful taking my friends along with me on solo quests. Sebastian even has triggered unused dialogue in a lot of them! (He has several lines in the Aranshire spider quest) I could go on about this for ages! I just hope this Director's Cut doesn't hinder the progress for the sequel.

That's very interesting news! Here's hoping they expand the variety of enemies (such as werewolves and avada-immune vampires in the Forbidden Forest) and perhaps give us bubblehead charm/gillyweed so we can finally explore the Great Lake! At last we'd be able to truly justify that 'Mermish Liaison' outfit ;) Random additional* ability to go through the mandrake moonlight ritual for Animagus transformation!

If they do patronus, I think the easiest way to do it would be by house- if you’re a Gryfindor than your patronus is x, if Ravenclaw than y and so on.

love the content James also I'm optimistic about Hogwarts Legacy DC I just hope WB let's Avalanche software cook we will soon know how much of a hand Rocksteady had into this expansion I just hope they had people that listened to Avalanches vision and didn't do anything fans would find distasteful if it does well i wonder if they would bring them back to help with HL2 I would imagine so if it would cut costs in half especially since they already have people willing from Rocksteady studios to work

I believe they need to tie the game more to the story of Harry Potter, for example they could add diagon alley and provide more story along with that new location, as well as add kings cross.

I would love for the directors cut to have: 1.) Co-Op/Multiplayer(up-to 4 players) 2.) More Missions and Side Missions(with co-op) 3.) Game + Mode 4.) More mini-games 5.) Interactive Potion Crafting 6.) More Enemy Types 7.) Updated Spell System and new spells 8.) New catchable Beasts and Vivariam QOL updates 9.) New or updated locations.

I wouldn't get my hopes up about being able to visit any places other than what's already in the game, Uagadou, Azkaban? someone has completely flown away in their dreams. It will be good if they clean up the Slytherin uniforms and add cut mechanics, such as silence at night, etc.

i'm hoping for the ability to turn into an animagius or werewolf along with new spells and story quests i will buy the dlc for fun of it.

Literally have like dozens of ideas the game could add. It would have been amazing if they launched the DC with all the hype this month. Think they missed an opportunity.

I'm just worried that since the people in rocksteady are involved in hogwarts legacy we are gonna end up with a suicide squad level flop with the directors cut or even the next game which i am already heavily skeptical of due too the rumors of it being a live service game

One thing I would like to see is when you mentioned back story’s is are characters back story like are we muggle born or a pure blood and for example at the beginning of the game you find out fig was sent to teach us some magic so we were not to far behind if I’m a muggle born we’re they freaked out my parents or why as a 15 year old I was leaving London with fig we’re my parent ok with that and if there muggle born or pure blood they never write me at school they just said ok stranger take my kid to magic school and we won’t write I mean for back story I would like to know who my character sort of is lol just saying

I vote for new quests that include new classes/spells/beasts/ingredients! Please nooo more flying or mountain tops at dizzing heights. Something in the forest or a new lush valley plllease. Also I would love to customize our store more.😁🥳🧙♀️

The game is based on the lore, the triwizard tournament didn’t take place that year, riding dragons, is not something that they do as dragons and their breeding are heavily monitored by the ministry. They wanted to do honor to the story and I seriously doubt that they want to change the world building for the sake of demands.

Remove all endless recycled mini games, Merlin puzzles around the map as it gets very boring very quickly. Sebastian and his sister questline simply carried this whole game as many people could connect with the story and the emotion just like the movies. The introduction cutscenes to the game was great all the way up to being put in you're house in Hogwartz. Hogsmead and The Haunted Shop, Forbidden Forest was good in content experience. Then it kind of went dead once Sebastian came along over the main story which took a backseat for me and I was glad. The stunning castle was a massive hit to explore but then it felt empty in students. Outside the castle was nothing but nice views, and creatures to collect just for the Room of Requirements, it severely lacked "Quidditch or give us the experience of watching Quidditch from the stands from different houses playing at certain times in our Hogwartz experience. Wizard Chess, Dementors, The Ministry, Askaban story's/mission/exploring adds to the lore of the wizarding world.

I'd LOVE more story to better flesh out the world. They had all the necessary tools for a great story and did nothing with it! Like explaining why Solomon doesn't want to try and find the people who cursed his Niece and Killed his Sibling and In-law it came off to me that he want's Sebastian and his Sisters inheritance and was working with Victor Rookwood. Also would like better character interactions and most importantly EXPLAIN WHAT THE HELL ANCIENT MAGIC IS AND WHAT IT CAN DO. At NO POINT in the game was that EVER explained!

@@XpectoGO think about it. The entire point of the game is to learn about ancient magic and we never do. Instead we just become the person dealing with the mess left by Isadora who somehow made a cache of ancient magic via stealing emotions.

But didn't our male protagonist's voice actor cut ties with the devs after getting harassed by lefties who hate Rowling and anyone even slightly associated with the Wizarding World? If we were to get new quests, and the VA actually did walk out on Hogwarts Legacy, they would have to go through the trouble of finding a suitable replacement which I'm not sure is worth it for just a director's cut of the game

There probably won't even be any new content and if there is then it will suck cause... guys its the team that made Suicide Squad... there is no hope... edit: and yes... I am aware that I am a bit pessimistic... but if I am pessimistic and have no expectations I can not be dissappointed in the end

It’s possible but more likely a quidditch minigame rather than full on quidditch games. I expect and hope for full quidditch season/games in Hogwarts Legacy 2.

@MihaSith It was in the films and books starting at the 4th year or so. Not sure why there isn't surface level "going out with/dating" without any of the "romance scenes" for 18+. Prom type thing was big thing in Goblet Of Fire.
