I really appreciate you depth! Had the opportunity to run a few arrows through this platform today (as well as a couple other models) I didn't notice the vibration you spoke of. I am really impressed with this bow. I do shoot an older model X33. The new ownership has really changed the game I was shocked by the difference. Thank you sir!

@ApexArchery keep it consistent and it will cultivate a following. C_Does is an optics reviewer and the evolution of his reviews is a good model to follow. Because he has a script he sticks too he can reference and compare past reviews into his future reviews. Check him out and maybe you will find something useful. Cheers

You're doing a really good job for the amount of engagement you're getting. I would love to have a google doc or something of all these draw force curves compared. Some way to overlay them against each other. Maybe just do a video on that topic?

Don't worry - we are releasing about 4 more bow reviews in this longer ATA series, then we are going to do an episode where we compare all the bows based on the objective measures we get! That will be the best way to get the full "data dump" all in one spot!

Aesthetically speaking, the bow is awesome. I really wonder how durable the Magnite is and if it is prone to stress fractures or other potential failures . Very interesting on how the Magnite is reacting to thermal conditions. Makes me think on a very hot day, how that material would react as it relates to noise and residual vibration . Great review!

Thank you for the comment! I agree - they are really nice looking bows, and the weight is truly impressive, especially when you consider the riser length. There is a lot to like about the Xpedition line up. I'd also be curious about the feeling of the magnite riser on a warmer day.

Back in the day when bows were magnesium i never heard of a magnesium breaking or cracking but seen a lot of pulled or strip threads for sights and rest mounting. With that said they were solid risers and did not have cut outs in the riser. Time will tell .

set your draw length to 29.5 on the mod, but leave your draw stops on 30 inch. It makes it 90% let off, and back wall feels way better imo
@ApexArchery
@ApexArchery 5 ай бұрын
Interesting! Personally, I love a 75-80% let off, so the Xpedition came in perfect for me. Very cool to know that you can easily adjust letoff with a slight change to the mod position though.

Thank you for such an in depth review. I really appreciate this!!! My question is why did you choose to test this bow without the small doinker stabilizer it came with. I am so very curious how this bow shoots with it on. You said vibration lasted 3 seconds, how long would it last by adding the small stabilizer?? Also all the reviews say how light this how is, but I wonder how quiet the bow would be by adding this stabilizer. If you tested this bow with it on please tell us your results on sound and vibration
@ApexArchery
@ApexArchery 5 ай бұрын
As a general rule, I am removing the lower stabilizer weights that come with bows such as the PSE, Hoyt, Xpedition and Darton. This is because their primary purpose is as a weight/stabilizer to lower the center of mass of the bow. To be fair and compare bow-to-bow across brands, I would rather see what the realistic system weights are than worry about minimal changes in vibration. The Xlite 33 is the lightest bow we've had on test - but it would not have achieved this honor without removing that lower stabilizer. In my opinion, lower system weight = more bragging rights than less vibration would. This is because vibration is going to be radically reduced by adding accessories to the bows anyway. Actually, of all the lower stabilizers I have seen, I am least convinced that the Xpedition version would do much for vibration. Where some of the other companies are offering versions that mount the actual weight to some rubber/elastomer (which would reduce vibration as the bow seeks to transfer energy to the suspended weight), the Xpedition version is a solid weight wrapped in rubber. I don't think this design will reduce vibration any more than simply adding an equal weight stabilizer.

The 31 has a 6.5” bh and ratted speed of 336 the 35 and 29 have a 6” bh and a speed rearing of 340 so I’m guessing they’ll claim somewhere around those speeds when they fix their website and add the specs into the 33’s page.
@ApexArchery
@ApexArchery 5 ай бұрын
Really appreciate the info on that! I did think it was odd that there was no published speeds on the website, especially because it's a really nice site.

Good deal. I will look forward to that review. I have a REVEX 34 and it is a very solid bow. Prime take a bit to get used to with the center grip (which really changes the string angle) but if a person gives a Prime some time, they are among the most shootable bows out there in my experience. @@ApexArchery

If all they’re offering is the Magnite riser with no picatinny accommodations for what has become industry norm with that price tag, no thank you. I can buy a 33 Mathew’s Lift and be very close to the same weight and still have enough for a top tier sight or a Hoyt carbon RX-8 with picatinny mounts
@ApexArchery
@ApexArchery 5 ай бұрын
It's a fair critique - I would guess they will add in-line sight mounting options in the near future. That said, one of the big selling points is the weight - this thing is coming in nearly a 1/4 lb. lighter than other (already light!) bows on test this year. Overall, I am rooting for these boutique manufacturers, and I think Xpedition has come a long way in the last 2-3 years.

It’s going to be interesting to see how xpedition builds on this platform. I’ll be buying a new bow in ‘25 and have my eye on this. Hopefully they’ll follow a Mathews style bridge lock rather than pic. To me, it seems like a pic mount still pushes your sight out far from the riser vs a bridge lock.
@ApexArchery
@ApexArchery 5 ай бұрын
@@brentbandy3566 Keep in mind that this may not be possible. I believe the Mathews Bridge Lock patent is going to include inter-riser design for conventional and specialized dovetails. Unless Mathews is willing to license it (unlikely) and other companies are willing to pay those licensing fees (driving up the cost of their bow), I think its unlikely to happen.
