Sorry to break it to you... but Godzilla Earth from the anime makes Shin Godzilla look like a wimp, Godzilla earth is industructble, shin is not, also Godzilla Earth is 300 meters, shin is 118, Godzilla earth totally dwarfs Shin.

I know this is kinda a strange reason, but one of my favorite features about X-Plus is how the almost never have sloppy paint in the teeth. I have a 2 MonsterArts figures, after a while, the paint in the teeth becomes a tiny bit bothersome. But look at that! Just beautiful!

Question I saw a 2016 X-PLUS Shin Godzilla DeAGOSTINI Roar ver. in my store today going for 430. I wouldnt sell it as i love Godzilla and want to collect. Is that a rare find and worth alot?

If it was the Gigantic version, then 430 was likely a mistake on someone's part. If it was the 25cm Large Monster Series version, maybe. But any Gigantic Shin retailed at around $600 and up. Aftermarkets show people are willing to pay over 1K for reissues and higher for the originals. It's all insane though.

This is such a cool unboxing vid. (Btw i get scared of shin godzilla when i saw the movie then i get nightmares rarely... Dream:Shin godzilla attacks the city(prefer any city) then suddenly he steps on our house when he is on form 1 then he transforms to form 2 and the eyeballs kind of stick out... then he transforms to form 3 and then i got scared i sat on the corner he grabbed me and he transforms to form 4 (final form) And he shouted at me like an alien and with a voice of godzilla (obviously) then he opened his mouth widely and i got scared of his nightmarish form) ). And that's a fine, respectable, and solid choice imo. Shin is a strong return to the metaphorical threat of the original Godzilla. And the unique design is probably meant to invoke a sense of grim retribution wrapped in a layer of tortured physicality. Love it. And the film.

Yeah, crazy expensive eBay prices. But Xplus has ALWAYS reissued popular figures and this Gigantic Shin will be no exception. It will be reissued at a more affordable price. $600-$700 is better than $1200-$2100.

He's a villain in Shin. Straight up cancer. Evolving and spreading death and destruction and not taking no for an answer. You can at least sympathize with him being a disoriented raging beast in the original and 1984/5. And maybe even in GMK when it's implied he is made up of all the angry souls lost in the Pacific conflicts. But in Shin Godzilla he is pure conquering life form that is a threat to all other life.
