Whenever he was asked for ingredients or help, he always gave them. Joe told him "whats the matter with you" and Luca answered he was gonna win with his skills not because the other chefs made mistakes but because he's better than their best. Least Based Italian.

Luca Manfé was a chad. Took that mixer out and still admitted that Jordan did great. Later on in the season he also was the only one who lent Natasha a pinch of salt when she had forgotten it, claiming that he was there to win, not to lose over a contestant who fucked up. True sigma mindset Edit: He asked the judges if he could keep one of the cupcakes OMEGALUL Edit 2: Was actually a clove of garlic. Still chad move either way

This is weird. In the previous season Frank did the exact same thing, and nobody gave a shit. But Luca is given props for the exact same thing this season. Even the judges pretend like people helping out others is a new event this season and completely ignored it the previous one. Frank was great. He was consistent throughout and a great sport.

As a captain all burden falls on you. if the people following your lead make mistakes, they become YOUR mistakes. so saving yourself before them is a scum thing to do. besides.. Why join a COOKING show when you want to grab every possibility to not cook? Luca also outclassed the other cooks so he could afford to do the pressure tests aka stay with the sinking ship and still come out on top. he wants to beat them with skill. Principles, some people have em, some dont..

Competition-wise, as a captain deciding to save yourself from the pressure test is the smart thing to do. However, moral-wise, it's just scummy as a huge chunk of the resposabilty for the loss relies on you. If you have any honor, you will atone for your mistakes by risking being eliminated. What Jordan did was good competition-wise, but it didn't sit well with Luca, which is why this happened.
