if I'm not mistaken, a big reason countries like Nauru and Tonga are so fat is because they can't grow their own food but they don't have enough money to import a lot of higher quality food. This means that they have to import the cheaper, more processed foods which are full of fat and sugar.

Nauru is a tiny island near Oceania (New Zealand and Australia). They had massive amounts of phosphate (bird shit) deposits. Phosphate is incredibely useful in farming as fertilizer. However phosphate doesnt allow for a fertile soil (googled the exact number and 90% of Naurus land is non arable, meaning nothing can grow out of it). Hence they always relied on imported processed food, containing a lot of fat and sugar with no feal nutritional value. When investors bought the phosphate on Nauru, they got money crazy and wanted to imitate the "American Lifestyle", keep in mind this happened in the 70s, and being a lost island in the pacific; big cars even though you can circle the whole island in 30mins or less, mc donald, etc. They also have a waste problem, but things are improving nowdays. 5Head ?

Its also genetic. lots of different peoples aren't used to the western diet so it often negatively affects them more. this can also be seen in australian aboriginals and native americans. I've also heard that weight is/was considered attractive.

antimatter is actually real. It’s just incredibly incredibly rare. Most labs can only store it for several minutes before it annihilates itself. It takes years to produce even the smallest particle of it

Supposing the current amount of money it costs on average to run a particle accelerator for a year is 5.75 billion dollars to get around 3 atoms and also considering they decay in half a millisecond but lets just pretend they don’t do that then not only would it take you 1.1million years but it would also cost you $6588384500000000 dollars for just one gram (of course rounding it to the nearest atom).
