I dont mind guns or people who are into guns, but i swear, there's some gun people that creep me out, like this guy. Probably fantasized about using his gun in self defense to the point where he wanted more to legally kill someone, than actually be a hero and defend himself and other innocents. He was probably thinking that this was finally his time to shoot a "thug" and be a hero, when in reality he was just wanting to kill someone and be able to get away with it under self defense. if you carry, you should never want to use your gun until you have to.

I’m sorry gun guys, I respect the passion and the hobby, but when you’re to the point where your first instinct in any sort of minor conflict or angry exchange is to whip out a handgun and start unloading, there’s something fundamentally wrong. Especially combined with the amount of casual racism being thrown around by this man and others like him. Stories like this help me to grasp how absolutely terrifying it must be to be POC in places like this, where anything you do that could minorly inconvenience some middle-aged white guy packing heat could result in death, and people would agree with him and be on his side. So insanely fucked up.
@coldbru-on-ice
@coldbru-on-ice 2 жыл бұрын
No need to apologize! I completely get your point, and as a POC myself, I always feel the slightest bit of fear even passing a police car. I respect the right to carry *for self defense*, but this person pulled out a gun because some teenagers were playing music and mouthing off. None of these kids had a criminal record, none of them were armed or posed any real threat. There was nothing he needed to defend himself from.
@Birthday888
@Birthday888 2 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure nothing about his behavior has anything to do with self-defense or a hypothetical passion for guns. It's pretty clear that Mike's only interest in firearms were their capacity for violence at minimum risk to himself. So he could carry it around and feel "big" and "strong". So you really don't have to apologize for anything.

@@Dommymangone An exact with white people scenario with this exact person didnt happen though. So you are wrong. like you said there is no proof. There has to be Explicit RACISM for it to be racist. Thats like me calling asians are smart or a black person is good at basketball is racist even those are stereotypes . thats not how it works. @@chrischika7026 “This jail is full of blacks and they all act like thugs,” he wrote. “This may sound a bit radical but if more people would arm themselves and kill these … idiots when they’re threatening you, eventually they may take the hint and change their behavior…. The more time I am exposed to these people, the more prejudiced against them I become.” - Michael Dunn. Your argument is invalid, this clearly implies he looked down on black people from the start. Also, just because the people in the car weren’t white, it doesn’t nullify my argument. It’s a interpretive question.

@@ronin5996 Not really. Anyone who remotely knows anything about interrogations or police work should know that the smartest thing to do when accused of a crime is to keep your mouth shut. The problem is that most of the time, these suspects are trying to look innocent, and this drives them to try and appear cooperative with the police. So it's a lose-lose situation. Keep quiet and you look suspicious because you're being uncooperative. Try lying, and you might give away information. Any advantage that could be gleaned by watching these videos is that couldn't be found from somewhere else.
@TR13400
@TR13400 Жыл бұрын
@@ronin5996 it doesn't really matter how much videos or documentaries you watch or books you read, when a guilty suspect is put in these positions all that knowledge goes out the window. The pressures and stress that come with interrogations over serious crimes is not really something you can train for. Not to mention that people who are stupid or crazy enough to committ blatant crimes like this are generally also too stupid or crazy to think ahead enough to have stories that are solid defenses, or to ask for a lawyer.

Here is exactly how it went down according to case fact and witness testimony. Dunn pull into the Gate parking lot and park right next to the durango with the loud music playing. He then made a remark to Rhonda how he hated that thug music. After Rhonda exit the vehicle, Dunn rolled down his window and told the boys "Hey, turn that down, I can't hear myself think" And the front passenger turned it off entirely. Dunn then rolled up his window. Jordan in the back seated wasn't so happy about it and demanded the music to turn back on and also uses profanity saying that they don't need to listen to anyone since they're not bothering anybody. Dunn heard the profanity language and rolled down his window again and ask Jordan if he was talking to him. Jordan replied, "yeah I'm talking to you" Dunn then say "Nope, you not gonna talk to me that way" He then reach for his gun and load it then turn and started shooting. As the durango started to flee, he then got out of his car and fire more shots.
