I was loving it right up to the point where I saw that you removed the kick start. 😥 I had an 81 XS850 that I absolutely loved. It was a piece of crap- the speedo didn't work, the exhaust had a leak at the manifold, the middle spark plug was cross threaded, the electric start didn't work and the forks leaked. But it kicked over every time and I loved riding it!! Unfortunately, one day the middle float stopped floating and hydro locked the middle cylinder. And because the sparkplug was cross threaded, I couldn't even pull the plug to free up the engine!

very nice bike :) which kind of front brake disks did you use? Are there any, that fit on the wheel of the xs 750 and are also compatible with the brakes of the vfr 750?

Regarding the front end, did you keep the xs fork lowers and only used the bfr stanchions?

Hey I have a 78 xs750 special. Probably the same ignition as yours. What I'm needing to find out is if it is cdi or just electronic ignition. It has an ignition unit box under the right side of the seat. My wiring gone and will need to redo it but I planned on using a m-unit wiring hub and it can't be used if its a cdi ignition. Any help would be great thanks

i cant believe he cut up an original tank to make that one...... he couldve just bought that tank aftermarket and save the og.
