Plenty of you guys asking for the new PC specs: AMD 3950x CPU, 2080Ti GPU, X570-E Motherboard, 32gb G.SKILL Trident Z RAM, Elgato 4k60Pro capture card. Let me know if you see an improvement in video quality. Cheers guys, hope you enjoy the video. Stay safe out there!

Adding from my previous comment, the gradient in the sky is much smoother with less banding. Colours seems to be a bit richer and intense as well. The texture of the asphalt during motion has less compression artifacts and looks properly motion blurred. It's a significant improvement imo

When I start in position 2, I always try to let the leader know that I am going to draft him to try to get away from the pack until the final 2 laps, then it is on! I wish more players adopted this racing style. It would make much better racing.
@frankiev116
@frankiev116 4 жыл бұрын
I love this car and track combo, it’s really fun. Great stuff in that last race, really enjoyed it. And as for the incident at 18:11...he totally didn’t give you space. Now, he may have forgotten to check radar, but even if he checked it late, he could’ve still moved more to the outside.
@ZVilleneuve
@ZVilleneuve 4 жыл бұрын
@Super GT, The move at 18:10 would be a racing incident in my opinion. The overtaking driver is responsible for a safe pass. As the overtaking driver you've failed to sufficiently control the corner ie, you're left reacting to his decisions, while driving into a disappearing space. It's not about being X distance along side him that magically dictates who gets to drive as they please. Front wheel of the passing car next to the driver of the lead car is a common guideline, however it's to ensure the driver being overtaken can see and knows what is happening so he can react. It means as the passing driver, you have the right to be there and the other cant drive like you are not. Unfortunately, you can be "right" and still have contact that ruins your race. If you were 1 foot further ahead he couldn't come down on you as he would have hit you fender to fender/door, rather than fender to B pillar/rear wheel. Equally if you were closer to him during brake modulation it is safer. If you have contact it will have less disastrous results, equally it helps you be seen and take control of the corner. Patience next time let him have the corner, focus on exit & momentum uphill to the corkscrew. You had a run and would of had a better opportunity 2 corners down track, rather than forcing a move in a difficult corner to pass on entry. Now that said, the red car as the lead driver is equally wrong but more dangerous. He has left the door open inviting the pass by entering all the way right. You stepped out early and signaled you were intending a pass attempt. He must be aware of that and either defend by moving 1/2 - 3/4 inside at turn in or leave you the inside space as a precaution. Instead he drove the racing line like you weren't there. Forcing you down to the candy cane is not racing room nor is it sportsman like. The extra bit of steering he added near the apex, just before contact is also concerning. Any driver on track is responsible for seeing and being aware of other drivers intent and race them respectfully and responsibly. TLDR, Both drivers failed to do their part to prevent contact and ensure a safe pass. Super GT put too much faith in the other driver and Red car made a dangerous move to do an error in judgement. P.S. You were asking about 15:03. Your style is to early apex, add rotation and blend your line into a late apex. It is fast and works great in lower-mid speed corners, especially those in a complex of corners or at the end of a straight followed by an insignificant straight, (ie passes cant happen on the straight). Your line shortens distance, carries more speed to the apex than a late apex line and allows earlier return to power than an early apex line, with your min speed near apex. T11 leads into such a long straight that your gains to the apex get eclipsed by the 1 or 2 mph speed difference others might have at apex due to a classic late apex line. Where their min speed is early, with one seamless acceleration well before the apex. Your gain of 1 or 2 tenths gets shattered when 1-2 mph difference on exit equals 10 mph and 4 or 5 tenths at the end of the straight. I noticed 15:06 you stab throttle and then modulate brakes a second time. Hard to tell if you went to power early from slightly over slowing entry or were simply eager, that definitely delayed your full throttle application and further helped others get a run. There was also a comment on the fact that passing on exit is weird. Difficulty of passing from least to hard: straight away, corner exit, braking zone, mid corner. Something to consider as the goal of any position change is to do it with the least impact on your lap time. Disclaimer: I am an amateur driver/racer and finding my own path enjoying motorsports over the past 2 yrs. The above is a result of the global situation and the endless podcasts and theory books combined with my experiences. Take my advise with a grain of salt. I enjoy watching your content!

Good race, thanks for keeping us entertained and sane through this pandemic, man. I love Laguna Seca since GT 1. This race I did ok, I'm usually 15th and down in FIA races. I started and finished 10th. There was a guy flashing me constantly and trying to run me off. I let him get to me a bit and as a result made mistakes and could have finished better. Once I watched the replay I felt better seeing him do that crap to everyone. Not gonna fall for it next time. Watching you helps me out, even if I never win I still have fun. Get in there!
