Finally got this, this is a Sega Genesis Nomad. It was a handheld version of the Sega Genesis that was released in late 1995, just as a way to capitalize more on the Sega Genesis which of course was still really popular at that point. It wasn't Sega's first attempt at a handheld console as they did have the Sega Game Gear before this, but it was the last handheld they ever made. While the Nomad was a cool piece of hardware since it allowed you to play most of the Sega Genesis library on the go, unfortunately it didn't do very well for various reasons: It was fairly expensive when it came out, Low Battery Life, Too Bulky, so on. It was only ever really released in the United States and I just read right before uploading this that it had a limited release in some Asian countries. It is more of a Collector's Item at this point, but a few mods can be done to make it more useful in the modern age.
This Nomad bundle came with the console, AC Adapter, and a game. In the video I talk a bit about the console itself, some history behind it, and I even test the console showing off the handheld screen, as well as playing it for a bit while it's connected to the TV because yes, it allowed you to plug it into a TV. I also do a comparison of the Nomad's Audio & Video output vs the Genesis Model 1 (High Definitiion Graphics version). I had always been interested in getting one of these since I was a kid and first seen about this in an old Game Magazine from the late 90s and I'm glad to finally get one and show about it here.
