Though Xu Xin has lost a step or two from his prime, he shows in this match that he's among the best in the history of table tennis to be able to go from defense to offense for a winner while stepping back away from the table. This is why I love to watch him play.

The longer a point goes on for, the higher the chances Xu Xin will pull off the impossible. Right now or back at his prime, doesn't matter.

I feel like Xu Xin didn't really play in the games 3/4/5 He did random stuff and wasn't really focused

Saw the same thing. In the old days his mind did wander off now and then, long enough to lose or almost lose a game but rarely a match. In this match, his loss of focus was evident in game 3/4/5. Probably tired. Xu Xin has been my favourite player.
