I own both devices and yes, they both have their quirks. I honestly prefer the XU10 when it comes to fighting games. Maybe it's just my device or when it was sent, but my D-pad is more responsive and actually better than the R36S. The D-pad on my R36S is a bit stiffer. It's not terrible, but In my personal experience the XU10's D-pad is way better. Especially when it comes to Street Fighter games. But yeah, overall they're both good devices and really can't go wrong with either. They're both great to gift to someone who is getting into Retro gaming. Thanks for sharing. 👍

Basta abrir o r36s do lado de fora são 6 parafusos, e quando vc tirar a tampa dele ele vai ter 2 parafusos, basta vc desparafusar um pouco o parafuso perto do dpad, e vá regulando até ficar do jeito que vc goste.

@@dcents5458 still the worst dpad on a vertical handheld. It goes like this for me. Xu10>Miyoo mini plus>r43 pro>35xxx>r36s

I wonder if it's possible to change the screens each other, I mean to open the consoles and change the panel and put the r36s screen on the other one, because for me, I prefer the XU10 by the desing and the quality buttons and the R36s by the panel.

Funny, one of the main reasons I gave up on PlayStation after the PS1 was their split d-pad...it was hard to play fighting games and doing semi circular motions because of that dead space in between... I'll take a full d-pad over a split one any day. Xbox made it even better by having the full circular d-pad.

For fighting games, I’d take a cross dpad over a circle any day. Even with the weird dead space.

@@piercewiederecht5135it’s going to depend on what you grew up playing with. I can’t play fighting games without an arcade stick. Some new players can’t play without a hit box style controller. Some people are controller guys.

@@ForTheViolence yeah I grew up on arcade sticks, myself. I never really made any effort to recreate that, though. Now I’m used to dpads.

@@mat_max who are you talking to? All Xboxes have a circular d-pad and all playstations have a split d-pad. I'll never buy a PlayStation because of it, i don't care what games they have.

I have the xu10, but its not bad and not great its mid. Doesnt lag that much but i wouldnt recommend unless u just want to have fun playing

I dont know whats the big deal with the Dpads? I have grown up with them and never had any issues with any controller on fighting games? It is what it is. R36s looks much better. The customization and price point is the main thing. An amazing device for the price. Great review bro. Keep them coming!

La xu10 puede que en su carcasa sea un poco más cómoda pero la r36s es mejor por su sistema operativo abierto que le permite actualizar y mejorar la configuración de los emuladores para mayor rendimiento, la xu10 tiene un sistema estándar no se puede actualizar o por lo menos mejorar configuración de emuladores,

Hi, Can I ask for XU10 G button? My G button doesnt clicking like oder buttons, is very soft to touch and doenst click noise. Have you same "problem" with yours? For example sound buttons nicely clicking, G button after push doesnt click and is soft to touch. Thanks for response.
