You should've attached chains to your front tyres. May be this is adventure for most of you but risky as well... Specially when you'll descend downhill, those turns will be very risky...

Use snow chains and lowering the tyre pressure also works.

What police did was right, just because the Atal tunnel is accessible doesn’t mean one go anywhere in such conditions except the locals and professionals with 4x4 who know how to deal with such conditions. The number of increasing tourist in the mountains in such sub zero temperatures with lack of winter driving lessons and inadequate knowledge of surrounding can cause huge jams, car pile up and a headache to locals and authority which can eventually averted by simply not allowing tourist.

For your information, IOCL supply diesel with special additives which did not freeze till -33 degree celsius in these areas during winters.

While in snow, the tyres need to tie with iron chain so that you'll get that best traction control... We tried it during our SUV tour de swiss in Switzerland
