In order to dovetail with the development of genomic medicine in Hong Kong, the Hospital Authority has endeavoured to enhance the clinical services in genetics and genomics. Among these services is the provision of genetic counselling by doctors, nurses and genetic counsellors, through which relevant information about genetic diseases are given to patients for making informed decision on genetic testing and health management.
