Your struggles are the mirror of mine 40 years ago when I came to Canada on my own. I have no friend, no family and I felt very very alone. I felt the world is a big prison enclosing on me. We did not give up, because we have faith in our education. I become chartered accountant and my husband is global training officer in Singapore for his company. Migration is never easy. However, sometimes, when the situation in one's homeland is getting too messy, one has no choice but flees. It is good to hear that your husband and you are able to overcome all difficulties and leading a decent life in your new home country. God bless.

@@MrMilanoLau human right, freedom of speech and democracy are very important to me. I moved to Canada after my university degree from England 40 years ago. I could be very successful in HK easily and quickly. I love Canada because I never feel I am an outsiders or 2nd class citizen. Canadian government is fair, honest and treat everyone with respect. I hope someone who controls 1.4 billion people could learn from Canada.

@@gracemoussa9380 I also hope so. You are a lucky guy; Canada is a good place to live in. By the way, do you find it difficult to survive the harsh winter of Canada? It is ok to me, but my partner is very afraid of cold weather.

係海外工作生活多年，看到咁多人覺得香港咁不堪，他們真應該移民，不要留在香港，唔好淨係打口水戰，好讓願意留下的人在香港好好生活，time will tell 那裡更適合自己？！說到底，每個人的條件不一樣，際遇亦会不同，最好是坐而起行，親身體驗！

I started as washing dish in a restaurant, then becomes a cook. But keep on going to school at night and became a professional for 30 years. The worst time was working 3 jobs to meet ends meet. Now, I am all set with nice retirement.

@@berealistichk1321 I am very successful oversea and enjoy the freedom, the respect and civilized culture that western society offered. I am retired now my pension and medical are well paid by the Canadian government. I am very happy and have no worry. I am waiting for the pandemic to finish and I will travel around the world except China.

想講番依家英國租屋佢法律上唔可以收多個五個星期既租。佢收半年租做deposit依種可能喺幾年前, 但喺反而會因為冇信用記錄會比以前更多難搵屋租。

Who wouldn't be a pure consumer when one just landed on a new place? It's no different from being a traveller initially. That's why no traveller will ever make any money. You don't start establishing unless you start working a job. Being a new comer to a new place, it will be a miracle if you don't start from ground zero. He is a dreamer indeed.

How could you compare 40 years ago to now ? Do you think those crappy teens in HK, they don't even manage simple English, could they survive outside HK? UK has been deteriorating for many decades. Now UK is not part of EU, could be more tough than before..... HK people going to UK are paving the way to die, unless you are rich. But if you are rich, why leave HK ?

Richard 你好。四十年前的香港人安份守紀，沒有政治立場，沒有暴力，沒有出賣國家的思維。你是幸運者。你如果今時仍未退休的話，你可能在競爭中被淘汰? 這位攝影師縱使3+2入了籍，若果多年來無業，學識差不多比番了老師，越長時間失業就越無機會揾到工作（到處都是一樣楊梅一樣花，無得幻想明天英國會更好的。）這位先生似乎是5，60歲的人，是否喺年青人的參考作用？每人命運不同，自己打算清楚。自己前路茫茫，就算約𨌺信也不預知明天英國如何？可是取消雙重國籍是將會發生。

澳洲英國加拿大三處地方來講，澳洲係首選，但係物價最高，人工係比其他兩個國家高些，所以可以唔平衡。但有記住你嘅專業一定要喺呢度承認。我50多年前來澳洲讀護士非常辛苦。但這行業差唔多可以留下做PR. 你找捷徑內居留，來這裏讀護士吧。畢業後好多人會爭着請你。如果不想讀書，又你經濟環境係好嘅，過嚟都冇所謂。經濟環境唔好來到這裏是貧賤夫妻百事哀。仲有唔好忘記仲有一年澳洲便大選了，如果公黨上場好多政策都會改，所以五年之後什麼世界無人知。我總覺得這幾個國家五眼聯盟，裏面是想吸納香港年青的人才，最好你變埋大把錢過來他們便會立即提你辦
