Очень интересная и серьезная система строительства! Единственным недостатком, на мой взгляд, является ограниченная возможность самостоятельного строительства! :( Я, веду речь о строительстве. в одиночку! Конечно, плотницкая инженерия-СУПЕР! + Еще раз +!

While I admire the hell out of the craftsmanship of this frame construction - and the comically large mallet used to persuade some wedges in - shouldn't there be some fall arrest protection?

No. Construction Safety differs from industrial safety standards and does not require fall protection.

the green man Although I do agree with you, and it a good laugh. You have to appreciate the quality of craftsmanship required for such overly complicated things, do you not? and what of earthquakes? this style of framing was IMO designed to withstand centuries of earthquakes, which the western framers did not have so much of a problem with. For example, a simple two post one beam bent with knee braces, is big strong and simple. But the knee braces would become levers and snap the joints of the post + beam in even a small earthquake. SO what now?

+the green man That's what it looks like when you don't build econoboxes that fall apart at the slightest provocation.

MedicSound you can build well without overdoing it, dont know what countries building systems you are familiar with but in europe they last centuries , and dont take armies of people to build either. not like the glorified sheds sold as houses in the US
