Pumpkin cake looks delicious. What a lovely way to preserve the harvest. This is healthy snack on the go. I would like to make this. Thank you for sharing. Nice to see Kimtao and you making use of modern technology to keep in touch with each other. I liked Kimtao's reply 'yeah I want eat it but I can't (to the pumpkin cake). He sure miss his adventures during his summer holiday with you and the dogs. We had sniffer dogs in one of my workplaces. I had to greet and patted them individually otherwise the dogs would get upset and so would their handlers.

It's worth trying and it's easy to make. Kimtao told me last night that it was thundering and raining at his place, but my place was quiet.Whenever Merlin heard Kimtao's voice, he would approach me.😂

All through this video I was thinking of Kimtao. How he would wash the wok, light the fire and follow you. So nice that you called in the end. Poor chap I hope his arm heals quickly

蓮妹～小幫手回到他家才一兩天手就受傷了，放假這段時間都跟著舅媽上山摘菜下山抓魚，又有美食可以吃是舅媽的小幫手，妳把他教得很好，他在農村過得很快樂，回去才一兩天就受傷了，可能他在抗議喔！也有可能他在家無事可做就調皮搗蛋了，他還是很喜歡跟蓮妹一起在鄉下過生活

I think it's more like what people call a leather. It's satisfying to chew and extra flavorful for having been dried. It's a very interesting looking snack. Thank you for sharing:-D

@@dedeprince812 Hello Dede, nice to hear from you. I grow all kinds of squash. This year is acorn and butternut and pie pumpkin. I will try all three and see. Lianjie mentions a sweetness to hers so you could do a little research into what is the sweetest varieties are in your area. I have been looking into chinese bbq powder and I found a couple sources that give a list that is: cumin, sesame, chilies, salt, coriander, fennel, sichuan pepper, star snise, shitake mushroom powder, and black cardamom. Grind it all up into a mostly powder form I assume. Most of these ingredients can be found at a bulk store. We have Bulkbarn in my area of Canada. I like to go there if I am trying something new so I don't end up with lots of spices that will get stale and it is usually cheaper. I have no idea of ratios yet but I am willing to mix up a little batch and give it a go.

@@angelad.8944 Hi to you! I wondered if only the pie pumpkin we have here would be sweet enough. I am liking the idea of butternut and acorn squash for it, too. May be that the butternut is "waterier," though. Good info on the bbq powder, there may be premade in the chin ed se grocery here. I love the idea of sundried, but my crows and squirrels will have at it, so it's the oven, low temp for me. Be well. Covid variant is having it's way here again, our children's hospital is 70% full. I wonder if it will ever end at this point. Strange times. Stay well.
