AD - hosted | From heatwave to mud bath, Y Not Festival 2019 was our first music festival as a family. We had a great weekend despite having to bail on the Sunday morning due to the poor weather.

Yes it was a real shame the weather didn't hold out for us but we made the best of it!

Brilliant video, thank you for sharing, it looks like you had a super fun time even although it was raining! I love hearing the rain hit off the tent. it is a shame it didn't dry up.

Ynot festival is near where i grew up, it's on my list of festivals top take my daughter to, that and the rock and blues festival at Pentrich, also in Derbyshire. You do need some decent shoes in all that mud, I'm told Treads shoes are sturdy

Awww poor uncle Chris! He needed a kiss. Even though it was wet you looked like you had fun. The weather did get really bad which is a shame :(

They loved it - seeing proper bands that they recognised was awesome for them.

We did our first family festival this year and loved it! Nozstock was awesome

@@ColetteB Yes it was really good, not billed as just a family festival so there is quite a mix of folk as you would expect at a normal festival! A few sights 😂 We threw ourselves into the fancy dress themes and that made it more fun. Our kids are 9 and 6 but we saw all ages. They had a lovely craft area where we spent a lot of time but so much going on. Highly recommended.

Beautiful Days in Devon is a great one for the kids!!! Was at YNOT this year, glad you lot had as much fun as we did!

I know! I live in Huddersfield and we've been down, totally worth it if you've got the kids though. We were going to bail and we're used to bad weather at festivals! We ended packing up Sunday morning then leaving Sunday night during Foals

We had always planned to pack up Sunday morning and then head back in for the day (Dave didn't have Monday off and it's a hangover from my Leeds Festival days pre kids - I never stay the Sunday night 😂). I knew we'd never be able to stay for Foals anyway. I really want to try Camp Bestival with them - and the Big Feastival as Dave & I enjoyed that last year.
