Have driven most of the existing models of Toyota Hilux, both NA and turbo Diesels and I haven't found much trouble with the engines. The ONLY problem I have is with the Prado TZ Turbo Diesel specifically the head gasket leaking. Still have 2 LN106 Hilux from the 1990s in working conditions except for some bodyworks done. Currently I am driving a 2015 Turbo Diesel Hilux and no problems so far except for a some what faulty alignment issue that needed annual adjustment.

豐田陸巡大排量自然吸氣當然是首選,其次是豐田紅杉大排量渦輪增壓混合動力,在美國完全不考慮本田。

I had various Toyotas for 25 years. Then I have switched to Honda for 20 years now. No turning back. I wish I did that much earlier.

Can't agree with you simply because 1) I can't afford a Honda >< and 2) Honda doesn't have good workhorse 4x4 which I needed. Though, I can't disagree with the power and speed of Hondas compared with Toyotas.

Honda is less reliable and lack of luxury model to choose from.
I had Toyota Corolla, minivan Sienna, Landcruiser, Lexus SUV GX and Honda minivan Odyssey. Based on these experiences I feel Toyota/Lexus is more reliable than Honda.
I got all the cars as below: Oldsmobile, Chrysler, Mazda 929, Honda Passport, Toyota 4Runner, Corolla, Camry, Mazda RX7, and Highlander Hybrid. Among all the models, Mazda got power, Toyota has the liability, Honda in between.
