I have a Cornish X. Surprise! She is 7 weeks now and super small for a meat bird (doesn’t weigh as much as she should). I have fed her 1/4cups of feed x2 a day and she is living her best life. She follows me around like I’m her mama. Super sweet girl.

Peacocks love to roost 15 to 20 feet off the ground. Landlords had 2 Male's, they roost in the hay barn in the winter, and in a 100 + year old Elm tree in the late spring to fall. They were great to have around. They would do there courting dance to all the chicken hens. Beautiful to watch.

Yep, it's honestly the most humane way. Having their meat chickens be free until they get turned into what their raised for.

I still cannot believe how many different types of chickens there are. The names are all so exotic. The colouring and patterns and features of some of the chickens are so unique and beautiful.

I started following you guys for the peacocks ❤️. In my neighborhood, we have 2 female peacocks that have been here for 14 years. A male just recently showed up out of nowhere. Both of the females had babies this year. These are their first babies.

Always stack hay cut side up. "Buzz cut up, comb-over to the side." Just a good habit to start, as you may be storing hay in a not so ventilated area, and as hay cures it releases hot vapors that follow the hay stalks upwards towards the ceiling, as opposed to absorbing into the adjacent bales. Third generation dairy farmers here, been at it a long time.

Good thing y'all are taking extra precautions with your peacocks. There's a guy that lives by us in the country and he has peacocks too, but they are very hard to keep in his yard. No matter how high the fence or how big the area, they still get out and run across the road. One got hit last week. It would be horrible to hear Blue got hit...😢

For those coops that need new covers you might want to look into used/new billboard (vinyl) tarps. I bought the new ones to use for my rabbit hutch roofs. I built the roof so that I could remove the tarp and turn it over - black facing up for winter (absorbs the heat from the sun) and white for summer (reflects the heat). They are sturdy so they should last longer. They new ones are more expensive while the used ones are cheaper (but you do not get to pick what graphic is on the non-black side). I get mine through Ebay - just search for billboard vinyl tarps and look to see if they are used or new. :)

The Egyptian fayumi is a hen :) love this breed!! The roosters crow very early compared to any other breed I've had so far lol enjoy they are all fun!!

Hi there love the vids just a tip we breed peacocks and we put six in the incubator and eight we left with the peacocks and all the eight with the peacocks hatched and none of the incubator ones hatched so maybe leave a few with the female.

I was going to say the Peacock is very mature at his age. He hasnt even got his full greens in yet and hes already mating.

@@80smusicfan90 they don't know if he is or not. That is why they don't know if the eggs are fertile or not and are just putting them in the incubator in the off chance... maybe....

Our local Old Folks home has a pair of Peacocks called Tevor and Poppy. Last year they had three chicks and this year one. The whole village love them. Trevor can be heard all over squawking in the spring and early summer. Good luck with yours.

Is started watching this Chanel about 3 Months because I searched how to hatch duck eggs. I wanted to do some research about how to hatch them. You channel really helped I have 3 healthy ducks. Three years old they he will start growing thouse feathers so in a year and he will mostly show them off in the mateing season Cos at the end of the mateing season he will shed all his tail feathers and start growing next years

I have messed my back permanently, surgery and all, so when I saw u guys lifting the hay bails I cringed. U are great researcher look into some back braces that help protect ur backs. I spent all my young life lifting heavy things for work and never protected my back. I love u guys. Please be careful! I mean no offense.
