I was in this situation for nearly 5 to 6 months from class 5th to 10th mainly and still suffer even after 5 months of passing my 10th boards due to the emotional and psychological impacts that phase of life had on me. But that phase made me mature before the normal age. It actually transformed me altogether as a person. I feel really bad about how disgusting my later childhood and early teenage were but in 11 and 12 class also sit alone 🥺 Let's start from the beginning. I was the topper of my class. I was famous in my school and everybody appreciated me for academic and extra curricular brilliance. I had some friends who were either my juniors or seniors. But when it came to class and classmates, my life really sucked. The situation was like this- I used to sit on the last bench. Alone. Nobody wanted to sit with me. I used to eat my lunch alone. They made fun of me at every chance they got. Various nicknames which were actually humiliating. I used to cry almost every day. Always frustrated badly. So angry. I was always tensed and restless. I never had bad intentions for anyone though. I just didn't know how to express my feelings. I am emotionally very sensitive. Though, I was great and confident on stage and in public where you express your thoughts rather than your feelings. I have always been bold and straight forward with my opinions and actions. I have a very loud and heavy voice. Even when I talk, sometimes it feels like I'm arguing or shouting. So, I used to have a lot of verbal fights and that still happens sometimes. The situation I described above gives a little idea about how it was and I can literally keep on typing for hours and may be a whole week and still I won't be done writing. I remember every single moment. Well, in short, it was worse than how it seems. Literally. Anyway, you said “crappy life”. No. It's not. Remember one thing. You're not responsible or at fault for everything that happens to you. But you are always responsible for how much do you let yourself suffer. In my case- I was misunderstood. I behaved wrong sometimes and did some mistakes. (Which I had accepted and apologized many times to everyone who was affected but nothing helped) I didn't know how to exactly express my feelings or tell my classmates I had got good intentions. This made me even more vulnerable eventually. I did not handle things in a right manner many times and acted childish. (I was a child anyway) The people around me behaved immature and were judgemental and insensitive. I had a very negative image and impression. The above points indicate the main reasons why the situation was the way it was. There may be other reasons too. I was at fault for some things. But mostly it was because of being misunderstood and people being insensitive to my suffering. You need to identify the reasons in your case. Just think and analyse. Talk to someone who knows about the situation and can give you a right direction. Just talk to your classmates. Ask them why do they behave the way they do. After all, they are your classmates. Try to figure out the areas where you need to work upon yourself. But in all this, don't compromise with your self respect (know the difference between ego and self respect). Meet new people. Develop interest in new things and do what your hobbies are. If you feel you're right, let things be the way they are. Or else correct what you need to. In any case, don't let yourself suffer. Keep your morale high. There are good people out there. There are people who will understand you. Just know that life has not yet even started properly. A lot is to come. This phase will pass and you'll see how strong it made you eventually. Until then just keep doing what you feel is right. Being alone is okay and teaches the hardest lessons. Trust me. The self confidence it gives you is tremendous.
