Join me and some special guests as we spend a night aboard a Bering 92 steel explorer yacht! In this video, we also head out to sea on a mini sea trial, and Alexi takes the helm of the Hysucat during a high-speed sea trial along with another face you might recognise!

Is there a more committed ship builder than Alexi? The dude is becoming a KZfaq sensation. I feel like I know his philosophy on ship building better than anyone. It helps that he build a great boat and always puts safety first.

There are many more comitês yacht builders than alexi. Example: moonen, feadship, heesen, lursen, abeking, oceanco. The level of commitment regarding excellence on building yachts from those brands are incomparable

Stunning piece of kit and vessel. I was never a fan of these types of yachts, but having now seen the quality and sea worthyness it's a no brainer from the usual boat's on offer. Excellent. Just a minor observation on the chase boat what a tool, however yourself being an ex seaman what happened to the crew's life jackets!!

What a gigantic awesome well built boat. This is high end stuff. That’s for sure. Love it. Way ahead and better then it’s competition. No chance to reach this level. Woow… I follow a long the Bering story quite a while. Because of the unique nature style and outstanding quality. The design and the chosen materials are top of everything. Alexej is awesome too. So much knowledge and the drive to perfection. Of course the whole Bering team gets the honor of their products. But there is always one Captain in charge and without the navigation of the Captain the course is not clear. Here with Alexej and his team the Bering waves will continue into the world, successfully. That’s for sure. I blown obviously away by this. Good luck and maximum success to Alexej and Bering team. Great video to present this awesome vessel. I have a dream…well, some day. Don’t loose the goal. 😊❤

Bering has an awesome line of vessels and cant wait to see a B80 finished but this one seems a bit odd in the layout. I realize its a custom order and sure it will suit its owner perfectly but the nordhavn 92 interior flows so much better. Bering hull with norhavn interior would be the perfect boat.

The hybrid option is incrediable. You can keep the hours on the main engines and generators at a minimun.. Actually you have six generators when you count the small ones on each engine, plus the main electric propelusion motors can be generators as well.. Batteries are meant to power 'the house'all the time.. You can propel the boat with the electric motors for 5 hrs +/-. Then fully recharge the battery bank in a matter of a few minutes, all automatically, or manually, lol I'll say it again, You can set up all the electrical and propelsion systems to function as you wish, and it's all done automatically, or manual if needed..

John, Thank you for the excellent video you produced. It’s nice to be able to dream, as we see the spirit of excellence which inspired the entire creation and design of such an amazing yacht. I would definitely feel SAFE on the high seas, in an Expedition Yacht of this quality. I love Bering Yachts. Please forgive me, as an American, for making one criticism, which is definitely insignificant, in the overall scheme of things. To be clear, I LOVE the UK. Of all the international locales I have visited in my numerous trips around the world, without a doubt, London is by far, my favorite. I love the British people and the history of London. By the way, I NEVER send this type of message, but felt compelled to do so, because your videos are, otherwise, near perfection. But, for some reason, it really frustrates me that many Brits tend to refuse to use the pronunciations which are appropriate to words from other countries. Don’t get me wrong. It also frustrates me when I hear news reporters who go overboard, over-enunciating certain words phonetically, going beyond the norms of proper pronunciation, as they are pronounced in their native countries. But, the French word for “butterfly”, “Papillon”, is pronounced correctly as “pap-e-yon”. But, you seem to make a point of demonstrating your refusal to use the correct French pronunciation, by saying the “hard L’s”, pronouncing it “pap-iLL-on”. It seems that some British people feel an obligation to pronounce every consonant in every word they speak. It’s like an unspoken rule - whether that is the correct pronunciation or not, they tend to go to great pains to ensure that they articulate EVERY consonant. It’s amazing! (And, let me say, that I’m sure that Americans do things which are equally or even more frustrating to you. And for that, I apologize.) As I said, this matter is relatively insignificant, after seeing the excellence with which you produced this great video. But, it frustrates me when British people, tend to make a point of demonstrating their refusal to acknowledge the correct pronunciation of words which are NOT English - they are from other countries. And yet, when you speak of “zucchini”, Brits typically pronounce it correctly, when using the French word, “courgettes” - you typically pronounce it “Koor-zhets”, which is correct. Why is it so easy for an English person to pronounce that word correctly (which is not typically used in America - I had to learn it when I visited the UK, Australia & New Zealand, since we say “zucchini”). But, why is it so easy to use the French pronunciation for that word, and then to “butcher” the pronunciation for the word for Butterfly, by saying the hard “L’s” in Papillon? Please forgive me for “majoring on the minors” by making such an issue of this, but as much as I really do love the British people, and the UK, it irritates me when you refuse to use the correct pronunciation, and insist on over-pronouncing EVERY consonant in EVERY word you speak. I would guess that the owner of Bering Yachts used the French pronunciation, since the boat bears that name. So, in my opinion, to refuse to respect that pronunciation is a form of disrespect to him, for the yacht, and for the country from which the word originated. If this is offensive, please just write it off to me being a pompous, arrogant American. But actually, I’m an American who tries very hard to be respectful of other cultures, languages and collloquialisms, doing my best to pronounce their words correctly. When I visit a country, I specifically ask them how to say certain things in their language, or how to use their colloquialisms. If an Aussie is a good guy, I call him a “fair dinkum bloke”. When I’m in a UK Commonwealth country, I try not to use the Americanized term “restroom”, but instead, I use the word “toilet”, which most Americans consider to be uncouth. (Or I say “loo”.) When I’m eating in a British country, or Australia or New Zealand, I try to always use my utensils as you do, keeping the fork in the left hand at all times, and the knife in the right. As opposed to doing it the American way, which is far less efficient, and much more ridiculous, cutting with the fork in the left hand and the knife in the right hand, then laying down the knife, to switch the fork to the right hand, to pick up the meat with the fork in the right hand, taking a bite, before switching the fork back to the left hand to pick up the knife with the right hand to cut the meat again. See? Isn’t that stupid? It’s ridiculous! But that’s considered proper etiquette in America! Go figure! (I had to give you a laugh at our expense.) When I say “Hi” to someone in Paris, I try to pronounce “bonjour” correctly, as they would say it. In fact, I am often mistaken for a French speaking person, after someone hears me simply say that 2-syllable word, pronouncing it as they do. Many is the time, in Paris, when I have had to stop someone “rattling on in French”, thinking that I speak their language, simply because of the respectful way I pronounced their word of greeting, using their classic French pronunciation. When I’m around Spanish speaking people, if I accidentally bump into them, or feel I have offended them, I say “disculpe”, (the Spanish word for sorry) making sure to pronounce it as they do. Invariably, when someone hears me pronounce it correctly, they will try to start a conversation with me, thinking that I speak Spanish, simply because I was respectful enough to pronounce the word as they do. You seem to be a very kind, considerate person, in addition to being very knowledgeable about yachts, etc. Your videos are beyond excellent. This one minor modification, in my opinion, would make your videos even better!

Why would anyone want chocolate ice cream vs vanilla? Or why would anyone need beer when there is bourbon? Or vice versa? Why do some people enjoy music and arts and some do not? Your question is a philosophical one. Your basic error is assuming that all individuals are insect-like copies and should all want or not want what you want or need. Life is meant to be enjoyed. If these things bring some people joy and motivate them to achieve wealth, what business is that of anyone else?
