Thank you Katy and Doug for the thoughtful and laid back discussion about these boats and the men and woman who sail them. I just bought my first sailboat last year and am constantly trying to soak in as much knowledge as I possibly can. I have learned enough to understand those things you were pointing out and learned lots of new things as well.

I AM REALLY INTERESTED TO FOLLOW THE 2022 GGR.... ALSO INTERESTED TO SEE THE BOATS... THE SKIPPERS , AS THEY HAVE THEM NAMES AND FOTOS THERE.... UNFORTUNATELY... THE VIDEO DIDN'T SHOW WELL THE MOST INTERESTING STAF.... PITY... I JUST HOPE THE ORGANIZERS WILL DO IT BETTER.... FAIR WINDS TO ALL PARTICIPANTS.... & MY KIND REGARDS.... CHEERS 🌷🍾🥂

Thanks much for the coverage! Technical feedback, Katy's microphone is overloaded and Doug's is too low. Try to use an audio meter function to check the levels and make them even.

I reckon that's what makes the event appealing Clive. It's the idea that you could actually take part in the race in a boat you could afford to buy. The Vendee Globe boats are megabucks!

@@wmstone3914That’s the law in Russia. Say only nice things or gulag. Fact is, I spent half hour watching and hoping to gain some good knowledge of the competitors, and was left with little. Coconut captain would make a much better host 🤔

@6:25 ~ Why did she say that dodger will keep him nice and protected? At first I thought she was joking because it’s so comically small. Does it unfold or is it meant to stay that size and just huddled under it?
