Wasn't that time period mentioned in this political sicence theory about during the Ottoman Empire? What would be a game changer for Jews would be to come up with a few items from history that the nation could apologize for being a part of. The little allegations u put here, can also be said about yourselves, if you were considered 2nd class citizens, in your own religion you have concept of Gentile, which is a 2nd class infidel, much worse than how Islam perceives Jews or Christians (simply as misguided brothers).
