Chabahar is located near to Pakistani borders and the people of both sides are Baloch, whose their native language is Balochi, but are also familiar with Persian and Urdu languages. The culture and traditions of people are also similar and their outlook and attire is closely related to Pakistani people. Since Pakistanis and especially North Indians have a considerable resemblance, they mistook you as Pakistani. Further, this is border area, which is affected by militancy, therefore, the ordinary people are very cautious and look foreigners with suspicion. Mr. Hussain, who is Sistani from Chabahar correctly described that this southern part of Iran is greatly different from other parts of Iran because people are bound to their culture, tradition and religion. Both Persian and Sanskrit origin languages are very similar since they came out of the same proto-Aryan language. Both are Aryan (Indo-European) languages. Thus both Iran and India share much in culture as well. Note how cultured Iranians are.

The laguage of Bollywood is Urdu, no matter how hard is this fact for the Hindu nationalists to digest. Urdu is the only reason why some Indians can understand some Perso-Arabic words otherwise the Indian and Persian laguages are totally different from each other.

I visited Chabahar 35 years ago.I am from Lahore Pakistan. A nice man name Raza helped me a lot and invited me in to his home for lunch. He used to work in Sazman a Abb, in Chabahar.It was water department. Now I am living in Australia.Nice to see him again. He would be roughly 70 years of age now I think.

I think you're the first Indian Blogger to visit Chabahar. The baloch are mostly Sunni same as Majority of Pakistan. Not all Sunnis hate Hindus but many do because of influence of Pakistani Sunnis including Sunnis in India and Afghanistan as they are all followers of Abu Bakr and Umar.

@Baloch Bhai In India and in Pakistan the Sunnis the followers of Abu Bakr and Umar including Deobandi and Salafi ( Ele Hadees) and Barelvis hate Shias much more than Hindus. I know it first hand. Although I like baloch people but they should not Support Deobandi and Salafi or Barelvis as they all hate Indian People and it's Culture. Gyanvaapi Masjid and Ayodhya Masjid both were destroyed by Sunnis. I hope there's friendship between Indians and Baloch People and that Baloch People come back to their roots and leave the Sunni religion of Abu Bakr and Umar as they looted and Oppressed Indians and Baloch for Centuries and forced them to accept their false beliefs and Sunnis even made them hate Shias and Ahmadis when local people had nothing to do with conflicts of Sunnis with others. Local Baloch People want education and Health facilities but instead of Helping them they get brainwashed to hate Opponents of Sunni Religion of Abu Bakr and Umar. I hope you realise that Baloch and Indian Culture have so much in common and Sunni religion of Abu Bakr and Umar creates hatred and separation between 2 proud people of same land the Hindus and Baloch.
