Sick combo. I have the medium action xfinity spinning combo and it is on point too...might have to grab this beast though...they make it so hard to budget yourself when you want to try all their products!

I got my XJ combo for Fathers Day. I love it and it goes with me every time I go out to fish. Really all the Lew's stuff from Wally World is underrated I think.

I've always used spinning combos but just this year got a baitcasting combo. I'm still learning on it. As far as flying a fan down there I like the sound of that.

Love the video!!! All I use is spinning combos myself and have landed everything from small mouth, large mouth, carp, 42 inch muskie, and use a micro for trout fishing!!!!

Great video! My personal best bass is 5lbs and 4oz. Living in Ohio the big ones are hard to find or get. They don't like top water frogs. But they love texas rig worms

I have watched this video 4 or 5 times trying to decide whether or not to buy this combo. I have two spinning wheels by Shimano and just bought a lew's Mach 2 baitcaster at Christmas. I think I have to go out and buy this combo and the Lew's American Hero baitcaster combo this week. I just can't hold out on the peer pressure from TJ and Norm!!! I can feel the force pulling me! Have this combo. Swapped the reel to a Mach2 200 after fishing one day with the 100 that came on it. Seemed to have a funny wobble to it, so got rid of it. Did'nt catch anything on it until after the swap. Since I've caught a couple of decent largemouth on it. One weighed 1lb-15oz, another at 1lb-10oz, another was 2lb-4oz. Caught a lot that were only around 1lb, and smaller.

Those Lazer HS rods are a good deal. I have casting and spinning versions. I like the casting better. They are a bit stiff but seem pretty strong.

I know this was a while you posted comment, they have the Xfinity at Walmart, but it is $68. The Mach Smash is $89...torn on rather to save $20 or go with the Smash.

Set the spool tension to where the spool just barely wiggles back and forth, then crank the brakes up to max. Slowly turn the brakes back until you can make nice long casts without having to chuck the lure real hard.
