I agree with your first sentence because simply not everybody who is brilliant can win, since the definition is that there is only one winner. But the rest is bullshit. Magicians won as often as singers if not more often in recent times. And singers have a right to be brilliant and win as well.

he's a foster kid some something happened that caused him to be removed from his home. that's why his spirits are so low. but it was like watching the Lion King but even better. i just wish they had hit that golden buzzer!

I love him! I love his outspokenness, i love his dance spirit. Everyone was shocked when he said "NO" (which was expected) after he was asked if he could win the competition. But, I smiled cos I felt the same way he did...to my understanding, he feels he's got lots of competitions and his best is yet to come, until then can he boldly say YES!.. I'm rooting for Yakub. Gracie It is because he does not want to be hurt if it turns out he did not win. I have noticed that when you perk yourself to being tops in anything it sometimes ends negative. So make room for disappointment and the pain would not be so great.
