Kiryu bit down a growl, exiting another alleyway as he cursed his own luck. How could he have let Makoto out of his sights for a brief moment? He couldn't help but worry for her. The grief she must be feeling. Being only to reunite with her long lost brother only at his death... "I need to find her. Before the Dojima Family can sink their hands into her..." Kiryu rounded into another alley, only to stop in his tracks as a man in a suit walked up to him. Already, he wasn't a normal civilian, as if the eye patch and bruises on his face weren't a dead giveaway. "Finally found ya, Kazuma Kiryu..." His eyes narrowed. This man was looking for him? "Well you found me, what do you want? Who are you?" "Goro Majima. And I'm only interested in one thing: protecting Makoto." Kiryu raised an eyebrow, looking at the man with confusion. "What? Are you kidding me? What makes you think I believe in that crap? For all I know, you could be another yakuza lying to me to get to her. She's already had enough, she just watched her brother die, dammit!" Majima sighed, nodding in agreement. "I know. I heard from yer sworn brother." That gave him pause, his body tensing up. "Nishiki? What did you-" "We just go ta know each other, is all. That mama sure know how to swing too." Majima shot Kiryu a glare, not out of malice, but out of determination. "How do I make ya believe me that I don't want ta hurt Makoto? To make ya trust me?" The answer was obvious. Kiryu slipped into his stance and went light on his feet. "I think you already have an idea. Getting to know someone through their fists." Majima's couldn't help but grunt, a smirk nearly tugging at his lips before he pushed it down and instead pulled out his tanto. "Fine. Have it yer way. Here I come, Kiryu!" *Goro Majima* *Defeat Majima* *I'll protect Makoto no matter what*

@@joaosilvarimkimkim even in Kiwami 1,the first time we see majima,him and kiryu already had history but they never expand on it.After kiryu gets out of jail and majima fights and beats him,he says to kiryu"you've gotten rusty" but thats the first time you fight him in game,implying they fought before.

Kiryu in Yakuza 0 was a beast but I don't think anyone could beat the Majima that fought through the Tojo clan, defeating#1 assassin in the world to save Makoto imo

Majima's mechanics were so much better and fun too, so much easier to beat crowds and chain good combos, while with kiryu you had to pray that there are large objects around to beat them up with.

I agree with this to an extent, like Majima even without 10 Games as a Protagonist on his belt managed to do all that in Yakuza 0. I think though that there's something specific to take note of though, that scene where he busts through Dojima HQ and beats Lao Guai is all with (in his eyes) Makoto's life on the line. And there's alot of emotional parts in Kiryu's story, but ultimately to arbitrarily state my case, the gameplay of the Legend styles speak for the characters themselves. Mad Dog of Shimano almost entirely relies on going completely batshit insane and wreaking havoc all over the place, which absolutely personifies Majima and how he wanted to express himself all along. Dragon of Dojima is a style that relies on patience, build up your heat and keep the momentum, strategize and capitalize on your heat attacks and heat actions in such a way you don't lose that momentum, getting hit won't kill you instantly but losing the heat will cripple performance. In essence, it's precision and restraint, the absolute opposite. There's an arguement to be made from the science of fighting itself, being that being calm during a fight is mostly the best way to go about it, or that simply put the precision and going all out at specific moments are what make the best fighters (Muhammad Ali, Floyd Mayweather, etc.) But going batshit is a genuine way to fight, it's certainly scary. But there's also an arguement that I'd say fits more in line with the people themselves. And why I think Majima can basically never completely defeat Kiryu. It's that Majima fights because it's fun, Kiryu fights to survive. TL;DR I think Kiryu would win because he's cooler lol

@@videoseeker117 Nah. Just imagine after the Credits and you have that part play you get into a Boss fight with Kiryu Vs Majima and you play as both characters. Take an amount of health away then a Cutscene happens and you switch character, then it does it again and change character and then after again you get to choose. Stay as Majima or Stay as Kiryu. And yeah you end the fight with either one and in the cutscene Whoever you beat will be more hurt than the other.

Not sure how the mods sync extremely well in these scenes (like the subtle face movements and such), but its still an amazing work for the modders and the devs for having a very strong game engine for them to work well!

@@decimation9780 Yakuza Kiwami 1 and Yakuza 0 have the 3 unique styles, along with the 4th special "Dragon of Dojima" style. But every game from Yakuza 2/Kiwami 2, all the way until Yakuza 6, all have a single "unified" style. Meant to sorta encapsulate all of the 4 styles in 1. It's Kiryu's canon style. But canon or not, I've always preferred them being separate, as apposed to a unified thing. Just felt more engaging. A single style, no matter how mixed, gets pretty boring for me.

But I can kinda see why that change was made, because asides from the Legend/Dragon of Dojima style, there were some truly busted moves in the other styles, with Beast Mode and Rush Style being especially prominent. I still remember putting bosses into a death grip using equipment that makes throwing people do insane damage, and then abusing the hell out of Beast Mode and full heat bars to become a one man wrecking ball. Still makes me a bit sad that after the Kiwami games and 0, there are no individual styles, it’s just one.

@@decimation9780 My thoughts exactly, lol. I understand why they did it, both from a gameplay AND story perspective, but I still disliked it regardless. I'll always miss being able to strong-arm entire groups of enemies with a few button presses and heave entire motorcycles with the Beast Style. That shit was the best. Or playing "can't touch me" while I dance around enemies with 7 dodges with Rush. It was all just so fun and creative. Like I said. A single, unchanging combat style, no matter how indepth, just gets boring to me after a while. Thank God. They brought back styles in the new Judgement games.

Their ‘88 models came from the old engine, and I noticed that the old engine really captured their angry faces a lot more vividly. Perhaps that’s why they look even angrier on this engine than usual lol.

Honestly, as great of a fighter and as strong as he is, I don't think Kiryu could beat Majima in '88. Majima took out the best assassin in the Asia after fighting Awano, which in itself is insane. Majima was just on another level

@@captain4eva778Majima is not in his prime in Y0, in Kiwami Kiryu defeats Majima at their peaks, then in Y5 they are shown to be on par with each other via Saejima, whom they both stalemate with. Also, just because Kiryu wasn’t a KNOWN legend yet doesn’t necessarily mean he couldn’t hang with Majima in brawl. He was still freakishly strong and a very exceptional combatant to boot… both Majima and Kiryu are strong enough to defeat assassins that no Yakuza knows of (So and Jo Amon).

DoD kiryu would be pretty equal with mad dog majima. He'd probably lose, but it's still kiryu. Majima struggled with awano who admitted himself that he got soft while kiryu brutalized shibusawa who was good enough at what he does that he earned a dragon tattoo. Even if awano was about equal with shibusawa kiryu still struggled far less than majima did

This would be a good fight, but I just can’t see Majima winning, even against young Kiryu. What you gotta remember is Y0 Kiryu in terms of yakuza rank is a lowly thug, like the mooks you run into on the street. So in game he gets chastised and isn’t taken as serious. Majima on the other hand is world famous already in the yakuza world Spoilers for yakuza 4 After the events of 85, people clearly know him by name, and he’s feared. So you’re suppose to expect him to do all the crazy stuff he does in game, because of reputation. But Kiryu at this point is a nobody, which makes his accomplishments and feats more impressive.

@「Kinryu」 Majima was overprotective of Makoto Kiryu and Oda needed to get Makoto to Tachibana It could start off with Majima thinking Kiryu and Oda are trying to kidnap her and work for Dojima, and considering how stoic kiryu can be, I'm guessing he would prove him wrong by beating the crap outta majima like he did with Tani and Akiyama rather than explaining and reasoning
