Yo, you have to understand why this album exists to understand why this song exists... This album was released in 2018. His previous album released in 2017 was Revival. And everybody panned it. He put his feelings into it, which really more of the same as he did in MMLP and MMLP2, but less anger and more heart-on-sleeve. And people called it trash. And about that time, Charlemagne was hating on him. Joe Budden was hating on him and calling him a has-been. Lord Jamar was calling him a poser. So this whole album is him snapping back, especially with this song, and "Not Alike", and "Fall". This song and Fall is angry Eminem at his best. And thats why he has no chill in this song.

I just wanted to give you a bg on him losing his fan base. He made a cipher calling out trump when he was saying racist stuff. People still called it trash because they can’t comprehend lyrical godlike ability. After that he lost his white trump fan base and started getting shit on more than ever. He’s basically saying whatever he does even if he feels like it’s the right thing at the time he loses. However he realizes in hindsight he shouldn’t have dissed some of his fans like that and offered empathy instead.
