This combination, perfection. I like the 1 vent hole on top, just for those 4 giant Caps.

Hmm.. I had before AS1000 and after I replaced with AS2100 It was a big change. The speakers tend to go in the bright direction but this can be kept under control with some suitable cables.. I had four years AS1000 and know well the differences between amplifiers..I can strongly say that two amplifiers that have no "connection" to each other..sound totally different. And about speakers can say that I do not break them. Cheers

MrIordaches Thanks for getting back to me. I was lucky enough to come across a good price on the amp so I got it. It is a definite step up in accurate sounding instruments and soundstage compared to my old NAD C320bee, I am very pleased with how the amp pairs with the BS244s.

+MrIordaches Try Signal Cable power cords. Excellent cables for it's price, I own four of them.

of course they sound differnt. Double the price plus. I had teh A-s200o and it was great. Then I got the A-s2100 and wow ... so good for the $$$$

How do you think the A-S2100 matches with the BS244s? I have those speakers and was worried that this amp may make them sound too bright? I was convinced out of matching them with the cheaper A-S1000 because it was criticised as being too bright for the speakers and I don't know if the same can be said for this more expensive Yamaha amp. Cheers.

+Ruben Davis Jolida tube amps go really well with Elac speakers. Yamaha a-s1000 amp is pretty laid back sounding as most Yamaha amps are. Check out the Yamaha amps, and check out the Jolida Fusion 3502S amp. see www.petery-hedden.com - gave me a good deal. I want to get a Yamaha amp to so I can switch back and forth some. I love messing around with the gear. I sell Jolida, Klipsch, Music Hall. I think either amp would be great with Elac speakers. I know Yamaha sounds great with Klipsch speakers too.
