Helmet fits in Aerox when it's kept Upside Down

As a retired man, I find Aprilia SR 160 suitable for local city usages. I used motorcycles for past 25 years but switched to this scooter. Suitable for my age and small shopping nearby

The biggest problem with the Yamaha Aerox is the fact that the Aerox is not available even for a test ride across any dealership in Mumbai.

suggestion: you can turn around the helmet in placing in the utility box in the aerox...

aptly & sorted presentation !..Prioritizing the features offered by both scooters will enable one to pick easily. I found sr160's practicality, sleekness, brake bite, ground clearence, nimble handling, slightly larger fuel tank & flat foot board as her strong points..Aerox majorly has its top speed/touring performace as an occasional advantage!

Considering the Indian road conditions, it will be better if Yamaha launches BW/Zuma which seems better designed for irregular terrain.

Yamaha Aerox has an optional KYB rear suspension available for some 18k inr. Rear disc would have been better on Yamaha.

2:16 Keep the helmet top down it will fit. Mine is a vega galactic one of the biggest helmet. It is fitting inside with some space for a 2 whole wheat bread.

Hei Dhanil you should have put the helmet upside down then it would fit perfectly. That's how I am keeping my SOL Helmet in my Aerox. The dash is designed with a small curve to downwards instead of a projection on other scooters. So the round top of the helmet will perfectly fit in the dash and we can close the seat perfectly.

bs4 aprilia(its no more available) makes sense as it can match the perfomance of aerox in terms of topend and also seating is much better in taller aprilia..but aerox is much better in terms of refinement..and comfrt both are overpriced too everything is expensive nowadays dont expect fuel efficiency from aprilia 😁

Bookings for the Aerox have been closed in many cities of Maharashtra state due to non-availabilty of the vehicle citing low production of the scooter due to semi-conductor issue. Even on their website there is no option to book one. Dealers have no clue and some estimate 2 to 3 months of waiting. I have booked one unofficially with no time frame commitment. i dont understand why this is happening. I see youtube videos flooded with reviews and testdrives yet there are no vehicles for the actual customer. Disappointed.

You need to put the helmet inverted in Aerox,(that is how it is shown in Yamaha website) try that and do please reply

For full face helmet just try to put it upside down in aerox. I keep my LS2 under the seat.

Aerox is definitely for the shaukeens who want a scooter. Aprilia sxr 160 if you need both scooter and maxi scooter feel. Btw I own both. Aerox is quite impractical and is very very hardly sprung. Also yes, braking thing is true. Feedback and bite on Yamaha is inferior. Maybe because it's new pads but still, doesn't feel as punchy. Also want to add, the aerox is considerably much more punchier in low end than the aprilia.

If I'm willing to buy a scooter I'd need some space for me too keep groceries in the front aerox maybe powerful but it's not giving that so 🤷🏻‍♂️ a lil less power for a scooter doesn't hurt much

On road price of Aerox is 1,82,000 for base model and 1,86,000 for monster model in Bangalore much higher then what you said.

The fact that dealership network of Yamaha is solid compared to apralia coz I bought the sr150 and the dealership closed in 3years now in Hyderabad you need to google where is the apralia,Vespa showroom but every one can find a Yamaha dealership near them no matter where they stay in Hyd so my pic is Yamaha

How is the brake for aprilla brother ?

One query, even you can't service the aprilia outside as parts are expensive and available only at the service center and the network is also very poor. While in case of yamaha since it s a derivative of r15 engine most of the spare parts will be easily available and also the mechanic.Not in case of aprilia. I own the both so personel experience :)

if you want to pillion on aerox, you must be physically fit. you may accidentally hit the footrests and it hurts horribly

In terms of handling and practicality Aprilia is better and its slim body design and super power is nice for filtering through traffic, aprilia is very easy to open and change air filter adjust light beams without opening panel etc

Own both and trust me you are going to feel lot more confident on aprilia through braking , wind blast I never felt on aprilia but on aerox it's too much . Build quality of aprilia is far better . Aerox ground clearance is very poor even a normal speed breaker you can feel it touching and much more . Aerox is just a compliment giver plus a little plus on fuel economy .

I'd would have buy one of these a long time ago if it wasn't for the high petrol consumption i want to save petrol as much as possible

Aerox has poor breaking especially rear one while aprilia has solid breaking. Aerox definitely gives that extra speed especially on highways, you can easily overtake many cars

Yamaha ABS is very sensitive, which is very perfect for wet/undulated/gravel road. Therefore, it took longer distance to stop

The aerox rear suspension is extremely bad and harsh, yamaha have KYB suspension available but its too costly. Anyone planning to buy this vehicle can rethink and take a test ride through some bad terrain and take a decision

i own both bikes . aprilia lacks power especially in highways. . i am still to get used to my aerox, will take a month at least, planning a long tour

The braking can be improved on the aerox by just changing the brake pads and brake oil.

While telling the price you should tell us the ex showroom price rather than the on road price, every state have different rates for their registration and all plus the on road price of Mumbai makes any thing look very expensive. And also we have to go back and google the exshowroom price on our own again.

If you looking for comfortability on rough road then Don't go to aprillia , because it have stiffer suspension which will make u rough ride

want to share my experience after watching many moto influencers review I booked Yamaha Aerox from shelar auto Yamaha wakdewadi pune on 15th of Oct and still waiting for delivery and if you want to listen to the childish excuses from Adult please choose shelar yamha dealer and same time arrogance also and most IMP thing there is no escalation matrix of yamaha you ended with same customer care executive multiple time and Yamaha not even reverted to them also si you feel pitty on them to as they face customer frustration and same to no respect from Yamaha motor India team so before purchasing the bike I think all motor channel should be asked manufacture about escalation and then after discuss their CUT from sales amount.

No need to compete.... No doubt about Aprilia...Its been 2year I m using sr 150... I hate scooty's.... But you can full risk with Aprilia sr150...

dont spend too much money on a scooter, that too very less foot board space, it is must for a scooter to carry some luggage,

Aprilia is not a reliable scooter, since after 2 years of ownership this has given serious trouble, especially fuel pump issues, the scooter won't start all of a sudden and you will have to tow to the service center. They say that issue is common and they can't do anything other than changing it which cost 6000 rs.That to with warranty they wait for approval and keep scooter for weeks at service center.

Rode aprilia for 6 months...But no more becoz for 6 months by riding this thing every part of my body pained like hell....Gud to ride on gud roads but definitely not on the bad roads...
