Whats better: a pair of Yamaha DBR10 or Stagepas 60p0BT? In audio quality. Both are 129SPL each. Dbr 10 has a 2.1kHz crossover against 2.8kHz from Stagepas. Dbr10 has a 1 inch tweeter against 1.4 inch from Stagepas

Is the subwoofer output of the Yamaha Stagepass 400BT a balanced TRS output? Or is that a mono 1/4 inch output?

I got the 600 model. It's a great compact system and the sound quality is awesome but sometimes I could do with a bit more power (volume). They should make an 800BT or a 1000BT MODEL now that would be cool.

@@djlenzo8683 most of the power from Stagepas 1k is given to the subwoofer so I believe the 600BT version is louder. And a 800 or 1000 watts version would not be portable anymore, its pointless

@@mrsandroks Yes, I think the best way to get more power would be the addition of a subwoofer.

@@nilslofthagen686 Yeah, I added a subwoofer to mine, thats a 18 inch 1500 watts subwoofer. My concern is that it has a 80hz frequency crossover and is not compatible with Stagepas subwoofer output because of the low crossover. But I can use the subwoofer builtin hiPass output with no problems, the only concern is that a 80hz cut is not saving much power from the stagepas speakers, but it is not bad. Not perfect system, but really nice system.

@@nilslofthagen686 do you know if it is an upgrade replacing Stagepas speakers with Yamaha DBR10? Both are 10 inch and SPL129 each. I think DBR10 should sound better (or worse) because of the crossover in 2.1kHz against stagepas 2.8kHz

For an electric guitar with distortion you need a guitar amp for better sound. You Could get a small one and use a mic from the amp to the speakers.

Yes! You can add a powered mini-mixer via phono inputs (we have a Behringer), you lose the reverb facility on the BT400 but some mini-mixers have reverb built in.

I'm no expert but I would think that you can if you have audio outputs on your TV. I'm a singer/DJ so I connect all kinds of stuff to mine microphones, laptops, CD players, tablets etc.

@@RikHoward. Im confused! Yamaha DBR vs Stagepas. They are so different! Yamaha DBR10: crossover 2.1kHz, tweeter with 1 inch of diafragm. Stagepas 600BT: crossover 2.8kHz, tweeter with 1.4 inch of diafragm.

I mean you could do it but it doesn't mean you should😂 I would say no, it's suited for acoustic instruments or electric piano, vocals and such... small acoustic gigs
